First impressions (they moved to Hasting and Kamloops...next door to the Starbucks). It's not a massive warehouse like Value Village just down the street, it's compact and clean and tidy - looks and feels like a consignment store - but has tons of everything you'd expect: really good selection of clothes, household items and all kinds of nick-nacks, records, books etc. Tons of stuff. This is in reference to the new, Hastings location. Note that I have shopped the VGH Thrift Store since it opened, though the frequency of my visits has steadily diminished as their prices have climbed to in many cases rival or exceed those of Value Village (or even Walmart). I feel bad giving this 2 stars since I support VGH and try to do my thrift shopping in stores that support my causes.
1. Prices are expensive for what it is. I get that it is a charity, however, they would draw more customers in if prices were better. Knowing that I can get better prices on things that are new discourages me from actually paying for something that I really like here. Seen many...
