West Edmonton Mall Inn is located directly across the street from West Edmonton Mall. Enjoy special room rates in a clean, quiet and convenient family and business hotel
Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in... First of all the hotels rooms were a bit outdated, the carpet was all sticky and the breakfast was not too good. I also found hairs on my bed. Although the location is great and the bathrooms were pretty nice.
But I would have to say that if I was to go back to Edmonton I would stay in a different hotel, even if the location is farther away.
The West Edmonton Mall Inn was not a great hotel. I stayed at the hotel with 3 others. We got a cot and it was $20 a night for a small bed that was so terribly uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. The room was okay, but the sheets were gross. The door was very very heavy and hard to open. There was a free continental breakfast that wasn't very good. The walk to the mall wasn't long, but... more
This establishment has a lot of nerve charging the rates they do for a severely out-of-date hotel amenity and service they provide, their proximity to West Edmonton Mall seeming to be their only draw.
Booking over the phone, the standard $150 rate was dropped easily to $104 when I remarked at the quoted price. Once in the room I wished I'd pushed it even lower.
30 year old decor and bedcovers...

Pretty decent hotel for the price, nice lobby, friendly staff.
We stayed two nights, our room was on the second floor, had newer furniture and nice carpet. The bathroom was very nice as well, newer tub and toilet and marble-type counter top.
The breakfast was a little "meh" but hey, free eats is free eats!! Wifi also kind of slow....
Mattresses were firm, but I like that, you may not!...

I had the misfortune of staying here with a toddler who still wakes up at night, extra times since it was a strange place, and wants a bottle each time to go back to sleep. Necessary, in order to keep him from waking up his brothers. At least a fridge is provided, but he wants it warm, and they do not provide a microwave in the room, not even on each floor. We were on the third floor and the... more
Worst room ever... I walked into my room and it felt like I opened the gates to hell the room was hotter than the devils anus i felt like i was being double penetrated by boiling water...not to mention I was kicked off the roof for being "intoxicated"
Beds are finished, room has remanence of when smoking was permitted indoors, the blankets have holes everywhere. Sheets are stained, one bed had pubic hair in it. Notified the front desk about the stained sheets and we were given "clean" sheets to remake the bed (still stained but slightly better). Walls are in dire need for a good cleaning. This just goes to show the effort put into the hotel... more
Hotel is clean but needs updating. Across the street from WEM
Close to the wem. Went to the iMax and galaxy land with my grandson. Also took in a Montreal/oilers hockey game.
Very close to hotel and cheaper than the actual hotel inside. Fairly clean and friendly. Good enough to use as a resting place after all the shopping.
The thing that turned us off the most were the holes in the blankets and overall sense that things were not clean
Our check in took over 30 minutes as the person at the desk did not know what he was doing and could not figure out how to check us in as we booked over the phone and he said we did not have a reservation but I had a reservation confirmation #. We stayed for 2 nights and when we came back from our day of shopping our room keys did not work so I went to the front desk while my husband waited... more
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was cozy and tidy. I especially loved how the hotel is directly across the street from the West Edmonton Mall. I enjoyed my stay very much.
$9 for WiFi, no fridge in no way special for $140. 10 blocks away hotels are nicer with way more amenities and $40 cheaper
Decent hotel, but the condition has been deteriorating and it smelled like cigarettes in our no smoking room
I booked this hotel because it was available, on sale, and close to facilities. I was a late check in, around midnight. I was met by the night auditor. He was a rude, unpleasant man. He had trouble finding my info, seemed dumbfounded when I said I booked it on Expedia. (I know right? It seemed like he had never heard of it before). He said that he needed to put a 150 on my CC for incidentals. I... more
Stayed at this inn last year and there was small breakfast service near the lobby. However, this year, no breakfast. Sort of disappoint. Still, the biggest concern we had, was the uncleanliness of the pillows. We asked for our pillows to be replaced with new ones as the ones given were dirty. The reply we got from the lobby staff was, 'these pillows are clean, they are simply stained with... more
A typical hotel, we lost our able while there took 4 phone calls to get anything done about it.
Zero amenities. Expect you to just use W.E.M. services. Floor in room was wet. Expedia to hotel staff reservation got messed up. They didn't care. Brutal hotel
The location is great. It is a more affordable option to fantasyland hotel which is right inside the mall. Parking is very minimal, especially for a larger vehicle. The rooms are older, could use some renovations or at least some paint. No breakfast options. In general, my main appeal for the hotel is easy access to west ed mall, other then that I don't think I would stay there.
Staff at check in rude, unhelpful. Told us we could check in early, travelled over 500km to find their system was down. Ok, these things happen, but staff just kept saying we have until 4pm to fix it. Then when they did get the system working again at 4pm one of our rooms was still not ready. Just a small apology would have been great but nothing except that check in time was 4pm . Maintenance... more
Never encounter any difficulties, or problem in this hotel
The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower and the walls were dirty when we arrived. The air conditioner wasn't working any of the 3 nights we stayed.
We enjoyed being able to walk over to the mall at our leisure. We thought the rooms were comfortable and clean. It was more affordable which made it easier to enjoy our holiday. We would stay here again for sure!
Edmonton was our last city in Canada before returning home after 5 weeks, so we mostly used this place for relaxing and packing, and this hotel was perfect for that. Nice, big beds, comfortable room and just a couple of minutes away from West Edmonton Mall, which we definitely used a lot those days. Therefore - this hotel was perfect for us! - and nice with the free parking and almost nice... more
It's a good hotel, has everything you need and it's super close to the mall.
Location of the hotel is great! Right across the street from West Edmonton Mall. Service was good. Our air conditioning didn't work but maintenance quickly fixed it for us. Beds and pillows aren't comfortable. Had difficulty sleeping. Would stay here again because of the location.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Edmonton. It was so convenient to be located across from the mall. For my first time traveling outside of Ontario I was very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and the staff was very friendly. A very affordable hotel. I would definitely stay here again if lucky enough to return to Edmonton
No parking. Noisy. No change at front desk. Would Not recommend to anyone.
Lady at the desk was awesome as she tried to solve a problem with our Expedia booking. Attitude of all staff was cheerful and helpful.
This hotel is close to the mall but far from convenient. For the price of the room there was nothing on site ( pool, resturaunt, gym) and they couldn't even provide bottles of water without an extra charge to the room, the bed sheets were not fitted sheets so any moving in bed at night caused the sheets to come off the bed (gross) and the mattess covers were the same deal. Can't say I would pay... more
Reasonable rate. Close to the Mall where our business had to be conducted at a much lower price than at FantasyLand.
Lots of traffic. Drunk people in the parking lot. Very little parking. However, convenient to the mall and waterpark.
I would not likely stay at this hotel again. The sad thing is it wouldn't have taken much to have made it nicer. The Wi-Fi was weak and didn't work for our devices. The main areas were not clean. For example the carpet in the elevator was full of stains and looked terrible and it would have been so easy to clean it. The carpet in the lobby needed vacuuming. Also around the vending machines the... more
Hotel was clean and location to the mall was great. Husband and kids could go back to the room while I shopped and walked back myself.
The stay was ok , for as new as it is it looks run down some but clean
Hotel was comfortable ....situated directly across from West Edmonton Mall....room was clean and beds were comfortable
Good but not great. No washroom at lobby area. Not so clean elevator.
They held our reservation for a late checkin. Parking is a bit short for convenience. Room was fine, beds were comfortable.
Check-In was swift, lots of parking. HD TV was a nice bonus. WiFi is from WEM, OK. . Overall, way better value than the overpriced FantasyLand Hotel in the mall.
After reading the reviews of this hotel we booked anyway. I have to admit the hotel entrance and lobby carpets were quite dirty. Once we arrived in our room it was very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff was always friendly, courteous and a pleasure to deal with.
The hotel was clean and the front desk staff friendly and helpful. What you see in the picture is what you get (minus the flowers). Remember to ask about the free breakfast buffet coupon every morning (it is in the West Edmonton Mall right across the street.
The hotel is situated in the perfect location if you are spending a lot of time at the West Edmonton Mall. Rooms are okay, the staff seemed pleasant and friendly, but the hotel does not offer many amenities because of its location. All in all it worked fine for us.
It was a very nice stay, at a nice hotel. Location is convenient, not just to West Edmonton Mall, but to other areas of the city as well. Price might be a little steep for not many amenities - but you do pay for the location.
It took a long time to get hot water in both shower and sink. When we arranged stay the price came up as 134 then said sorry, hate when it happens that the price jumped $45?
Stayed one night. Tidy, clean and ok for price paid. Staff very helpful
I stayed here with my husband and three young children. We were a little worried when we arrived at the hotel...it looks somewhat dumpy and outdated from the outside. There are limited parking spots in front of the building with overflow parking in a large lot a small walk away. Nice thing is that West Edmonton Mall is literally across... more
Stayed here overnight and had a wonderful time. My Boyfriend, who has previously managed hotels, was very impressed with our accommodations. Super convenient location. Great price compared to other hotels. Bed was super comfortable. Clean room. Very friendly staff. Will be returning :)
I came for a conference at West Edmonton Mall. I see a review from three weeks ago that the elevator was down. It had not been repaired by this time of visit; fortunately I was only on the second floor. Room was clean but things are getting a little shabby and worn looking (carpet and bathroom particularly). We stayed here for the night of the 21st of April for a getaway with my kids to west Ed mall. This place was reasonably priced and could sell us attraction passes for very reasonable prices. I stayed at this hotel and it was great to be able to just walk across the street to the mall. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. I am coming back to Edmonton in June and will for sure stay here again.
Warm room, didn't find air conditioner until last night there. Attractive house keeping staff. Twenty dollar cab ride to whyte ave!
Excellent. Very close the the west ed mall. What more do you need????
I don't believe the location of this hotel is worth the rate. Hotel has a run down feeling. May long weekend rate was definitely not worth the stay. Mental note for next time, stay somewhere else.
In desperate need of an upgrade. The entrance was dirty with worn carpet and unpleasant odor. Staff was indifferent and slow. The bathroom floor of my room was covered in long black hairs and it had supposedly been cleaned. Carpets needed vacuuming and the bed linens and shower curtains are old and outdated. The TV was pathetic with really no decent channels to choose from. The only thing this... more
Overall my experience was pretty middle of the road. Would definitely recommend stocking the fridge with food as the only thing they serve is toast in the morning and the lineup is long. Remember there are no microwaves in the suite. The best feature is it's location as it is across the street from West Edmonton Mall.
The room was clean, has a mini-fridge, usual toiletries, but a big 50in LCD screen. Their breakfast consists of a jug of orange juice and regular bread for making toast, some jams. Front desk was accommodating since we arrived at noon and they managed to get us into our room that early. They have an underground parking, but it was... more
Staying across the mall is a hard to beat convenience. We got this hotel at a discount price of $130. Although the location is great, I don't think I would pay more for this hotel. Room was clean, regular items, nothing special. This place is more about been across the entrance to Bourbon street at WEM than amenities on location, of course. Staff at front desk were nice.
I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is always clean and very comfortable and affordable.
We took our boys to west ed mall and this was a great place to stay!it was a quick walk to the mall!we were very happy with our stay!
We stayed at the West Edmonton Mall Inn in for the weekend. The room itself was updated and the beds were comfortable. There are no frills like hand lotion, shower caps, room service ect...If you want bottled water you have to buy it.Not a big deal for me but our guests said they would never go back. The elevator was down when we arrived so... more
If you are not looking for anything fancy and don't mind a few inconveniences, this hotel is sufficient. I am only rating the Inn 1 because I can't give it 0. Where do I even begin! First off the staff when I checked in around 4-5pm on Saturday were the only friendly staff. Room was clean & Quiet. Would stay here again. Walked over to the mall, As close as parking There.
Just spent 5 Days at the West Edmonton Mall Inn with my kids. The hotel is as billed, very basic, but if you are going to the mall it is a fantastic location. The Hotel is located directly across the street from Bourbon Street Entrance to the mall, and is about 150m away, so you dont need to drive, use... more
This place is in desperate need of an update. Heat barely works and the shower is the size of a broom-closet. On the upside, the beds are very comfortable and the wf-fi is quite good. All-in-all, it's a little pricey for what you get.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it will not be the last.
Cheap hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was toast or apples, with warm orange juice. Great place if you are out partying with the boys and need a place to crash. Rooms are clean. Close to west Edmonton mall, discount for AMA members. To bad the inn does not have a restaurant.
Stayed here this past Saturday in an adjoining room with another family. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs upon arrival. On the downside the staff/ security need to be much more aware of the activities that take place in the night. My family and our friends were rudely awakened at 2:30 am... more
Parking lot is kind of cramped, and a lot of the big trucks had taken up more than one parking spot. The hotel appears to be a bit older but there does appear to be quite a few upgrades. This hotel is new and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean. We were here for New Year's Eve and it was pleasant and quiet. I found the staff to be gracious. If I needed a basic hotel room in Edmonton, I would stay here again.

Roomy rooms, clean but not super clean, great service at front desk and room attendants. No continental breakfast but they do have coffee and toast should you want. We've had a great experience at this hotel and felt very safe. Very satisfied.
My family and I stayed here from Nov 26-29. My overall impression of the hotel was that it was very very basic for the money the charge. Great location inside West Edmonton Mall. But for $300\night, there needs to be some reno's done to the rooms. Having no controllable hot \ cold water was an issue. The temp couldn't be regulated….either scalding or freezing. Friends in another room had the same problem. The king size bed was wonderful though.
I have stayed in most of the hotels in the west end. This hotel is clean and has a great location. But there is definitely more bang for your buck hotels in the area. The room rate was great but the hotel is very dated.
Fun! Amazing ! Beautiful! Relaxing :) and great place to shop and also for swim and the hotel it is great as well all the family get together for a fun day... It is all in one mall!Golf! Swim! Water park and more! Also Victoria Secret!
This is an average hotel. It is a nice place to stay that is very clean, quiet and comfy, however, I don't think it is worth $169+taxes/fees a night. There is not a pool nor a restaurant on site. It is conveniently located directly across the street from the West Edmonton Mall and also not far from gas stations, restaurants,... more
This was our first trip to the WEM. We checked into prices right in the mall at Fantasyland Hotel and found that the rooms, although wonderful, were very expensive. Minimal parking, old rooms, and bad service makes this one of Canada's worst hotels. The worst part was we heard them giving the same...

West Edmonton Mall Inn is a basic hotel across the street from West Edmonton Mall. It is clean and has comfortable beds. The main advantage of this hotel is that it is close to the mall and you can take advantage of mall attraction packages without paying the high prices of the Fantasyland Hotel in the mall.
I stayed two nights and found the hotel ideally located by West Edmonton Mall. The room was clean, the hotel staff was friendly. The room was very clean and everything worked fine.
The location is very good, the West Edmonton Mall is right across the

Very friendly people and service.
We stayed here as we couldn't afford the FantasyLand Hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and the proximity to the mall was excellent.
