SoHo is right in the heart of all the inner-city action. We cater to those who like the finer things in life and realize that "time is precious why waste it without a great Martini in your hand" Ma
This bar has potential, but I don't know that it's really a big hit. Pretty small place, but the DJs are awesome. Drinks are typical overpriced downtown bar prices.
The music here is great, and I've heard some great local DJ talent. It's just a bit small and if you want to sit down to talk with someone, your selection of tables is pretty limited.
I've been her a few times with friends for a night out and always had a good time. I wouldn't say it's a club, or a bar & grill, more like a lounge. Good food though, not typical bar fare, but the best part is the music. The DJs that play up top are sick! One guy Chris LaPietra I swear was playing just for me, his music selection was beauty and everyone was enjoying it, on the dance floor and off.
I'm really not super picky but we went to Soho for dinner tonight and it was pretty deplorable. First, they didn't have the first TWO entree choices I wanted. Ended up having a Vietnamese noodle bowl, which consisted of rice noodles, a big (big!!!) pond of hoisin sauce on the side with a few pieces of chicken in it, and a microwaved spring roll on top. (From M&M meats?) If I made this at home,... more
let me first say - I live in southeast texas - this is the best cajun I have ever had! I travel to Calgary 4 times a year and always get the Cajun pasta dish!
This is a cool little spot downtown. Good food, service & atmosphere. More bar-oriented on weekend nights - nice to have another option for going out that's a bit more intimate.
Very relaxing bar. The ambiance is great and the crews very professional and friendly. The price is reasonable.
From the manager to the girl at the entrance, very rude people. They do not have a clue of what a good customer service is. Please support

9th Ave and 6th St. SW, not quite Stephen's Ave SW. We went to Soho this evening using one of those online coupons. I was very impressed by the quality of the food. Great taste, great service, good value. I will definately come here again.
They were promoting a special Valentines dinner. We had reservations. When we arrived ther was no reception area. We wandered upstairs and then down. Finally a young man saw us and seated us. The service was slow. The waitresses from the bar became our servers. They did not seem to know what they were doing with serving dinner. The food was very disappointing. Rubbery swordfish, over cooked... more
Located right downtown in the Husky building (on 9th Avenue SW), this place opens for lunch and dinner. There is pay parking right across 9th Ave, or on the street.
The restaurant is very small, but nice. Downstairs is a more casual dining experience, almost like a bar or pub, with tall tables and bar stools. Upstairs is much fancier....

Went for lunch the other day and had a great experience, the food was good and so was the server, she was quite knowledgeable. The decor in the upstairs dining room is fantastic, one of calgary"s best kept secrets.
I work in the building. Two people for lunch, no alcohol or dessert and the bill was $50. That's fine if it's a memorable lunch - food, service and/or atmosphere. It wasn't. Soup, sandwich and a coffee - acceptable taste, portion and presentation but not outstanding. I will definitely choose anywhere else before returning to this.
Not great. Only went for lunch as it's close to my office. The salad dressing was very bland and the portion way too small for the price.
went there for lunch... had expectations... it was okay... nothing too spectacular... not sure I'd go again considering the price, but not a bad eatery... more
We were on our way to an evening seminar around the corner and decided to try SoHo. I had the Mahi-Mahi fish tacos which were well prepared with a plain slaw, avocado and a tangy salsa. My wife had the Prawn Tempura, which I tasted. I found them to have excellent flavor, but would have preferred them to be crisper,... more
We were here as a group in December 2010 during the busy season. Our food came out fast and food was very delicious....I had the seafood ravioli and can't wait to be back there again. Thanks for the great atmosphere and food..I'll be back.
I was recently invited to lunch at soho and found our waitress to be a delight! Food took a little longer than average but when i asked my server i was informed that there was also a restaurant upstairs that at the time was full which then made me understand. The food itself was delicious!! I will definitly go back and tell my friends about it.... more
I can't speak for how this place is for just drinks but if you are looking for going here during lunch don't bother. I work DT and I've walked past this place a few times and always wondered what it was like. The decor is nice, but the service was lousy and the food was bad. I had a wrap and when I got it had this flatbread type thing instead of your traditional wrap...maybe I missed that in... more
All this place needs is a new chef. The atmosphere is great and they get a lot of business for the simple fact that they are right in the Husky Tower but the food is terrible. I've been probably 10 times for food (lots more for just a beer after work) but every time I've had food it has been... more

I've been to soho's a few times with work and a few times with friends. The food has always been well prepared at a resonable rate. the servers are really nice and prompt. the atmospher is a little more hectic durning lunch but in the afternoon it's nice and laid back. I've also gone there on a Saturday night for latin night and it's a blast. I totally recommend soho to anyone who wants to eat... more
Cool location, a 1900's hotel building.
Good lamb, crab cakes and a variety of seafood. Can get a wide variety
of wines by the glass.
In the Soho Bar and Grill's cool atmosphere and intimate interior, you're sure to find a perfect spot for a private lunch or dinner. Catering to a business crowd during the day, it is also popular for after-work drinks, which linger on into the evenings. The décor has a distinctly international feel. The main restaurant area has a bar and there is also an upstairs area for parties and business... more
