“Upscale friendly appealling”

Murrieta's West Coast Bar & Grill
Upscale casual, a very cool environment. They've got casual dining and also a bit fancier dining room. Food is great, as they say, WestCoast. Prices are above average, but then so is the experience. Drinks are pricey too, but the night is worth a celebration here. Enjoy.

“Seafood Deluxe”

Red Lobster Restaurants
Specializes in seafood, and boy do they ever do it up special. For example, you can have your shrimp done 5 different ways and then some more ways sideways! All kinds of crab legs and, if you want to splurge, go for the lobster. Lots of "feasts" to choose from which have a mix of seafood. Great cocktails too!

“Pasta Pasta and Pasta”

Old Spaghetti Factory The
So you want pasta? This is the place for you. They do it up right if you're into spaghetti and meatballs and other typical pasta fare. It comes at an all-in-one reasonable price and it's family friendly. Just for fun and for those on a budget you'll have a nice evening out.

“Old style Italian atmosphere and comfort food”

It's like coming home to Papa and Mama at Abruzzo. At home feeling in this architectural restaurant that emulates a big home. Nice table settings and good service. The food is great Italian, just a bit pricey, but go there for a special dinner and it's worth it.

“Trendy Italian on 17th with friendly decor”

Fiore Cantina Italiana
Right on 17th ave this place has a lot of hustle and bustle. It's kinda fun place to be at. Food is typical Italian, but that's not a bad thing if you're out for Italian! Prices are reasonable for food and drink, and it's big enough that you should be able to get in with a reservation no problem. Not much Italian competition of this calibre on 17th.

“Inexpensive Chinese Food Buffet is the attraction here”

New Hong Kong Restaurant
This place does pretty good business a dinner time especially because of their buffet. It's mostly Chinese food (a bit of salad and desserts thrown in) and it's okay fare considering the price! Very inexpensive meal. And, of course, you can eat all you want. It's a bit greasier than some of the buffets in nearby Lethbridge, and not near as much variety. But, if you need a big fix of Chinese Food out at the Fort, you can do worse than this buffet.

“The redesign has too few tables”

Subway Sandwiches & Salads
There are 3 Subway restaurants between Calgary and Lethbridge, so if you want Subway for lunch, this may be the one that fits your schedule. Unfortunately, a reno from the original setup has left too few tables to cater to the clientele. If you do want to stop here, get in before noon else you may find yourself "holding the bag" with nowhere to sit. Same good Subway fare however.

“A great lunch spot between Calgary and Lethbridge”

Nanton Subway
If you have to do a lot of travel between Calgary and Lethbridge there aren't a lot of good options for lunch. However, there are 3 Subway restaurants in different towns, and this is probably the best. They have it well laid out with lots of tables, and it's kinda got a rustic "ranch" flair that makes it a bit more interesting pleasant stop. All the usual goodness of Subway sandwiches of course.

“Not the best designed building”

Boston Pizza
BP's are all over the place. Can't say much about the food because they are all franchised standard. But some of the buildings and layout are weird. There's one on 16th Ave NW that is peculiar, and then there's this one. Kinda cramped with poor lighting and just doesn't feel that cozy.

“Not the best ambience, but food is good as ever”

Moxie's Classic Grill
Stopped here on way to a golf game out on Hwy 8. Taken by surprise a little bit by the unusual layout and decor. It wasn't the most comfortable atmosphere with the unusual seating arrangements, well, at least not typical. However, the food was the good Moxie stuff we expected, so turned out well in the end. I'd go back, but would know what to expect this time.

“Never disappointed with Dim Sum”

Regency Palace Seafood Restaurant
These guys have a great idea for Dim Sum. They have the usual carts, they have an open kitchen where you can put in orders, and they have a "buffet" where you can pick things up. It's all pretty good fare too. Together with the fact that they are a huge place and the service is very efficient, it's a great place for Dim Sum. Hardly ever a wait to get in, and once you're in, well with the 3 options, you can pretty get what you want whenever you want. No waiting around here!

“Slow service by our waiter”

Centini Restaurant & Lounge
Even on a night when the restaurant wasn't very busy, which you can plainly see because all the tables are set up in like a grid around the room where there's no attempt at privacy between each other, we got slow service.

“Very memorable”

Antonio's Garlic Clove
This is a place I'll never forget, but probably for the wrong reasons. It's too much! The garlic idea is neat, but they need to scale it back to make it actually enjoyable too.

“A great service for kids”

Reading Foundation The
They don't just teach reading here, although it's a specialty and the way they teach it is very good and works well. There's also math and other subjects though.

“Cool-ish place”

SoHo Bar & Grill
The music here is great, and I've heard some great local DJ talent. It's just a bit small and if you want to sit down to talk with someone, your selection of tables is pretty limited.

“Slow service”

Teatro Ristorante
I was here on a night before an event, so we weren't rushed but weren't looking for a 4 hr evening. We told this to our server, but the service was slow all night with no apologies on their behalf.

“A solid liquor store”

Crowfoot Liquor Store
The store that has it all, that's Crowfoot Liquor. If you're in the area and know you're looking for something particularly rare or interesting, this is probably the place to find it.

“pool tables!”

Garage Billiards Sports Bar
Not a lot of bars have pool tables anymore. You need to go to a real bar bar to find this, and Garage is one of those places. They actually have quite a few.

“Portions a bit small”

Sultan's Tent
This restaurant is very interesting, very authentic and decorated in great Morrocan decor. You sit on a pillowy couch and eat with your hands (if you'd like). The platters are good for groups, because of the food they give you, but I found the portions a bit small in the end.

“Great brunch buffet”

Cheesecake Cafe The
A good place in Lethbridge for a bite to eat. Don't know if they still have it, but the Sunday brunch buffet was awesome.
