Specialties
At Ratinaud we specialized in in house charcuterie such as cured meat, pate, fresh sausages...We also have a large selection of cheese from Europe and Quebec.
Ratinaud also have a 20 seats restaurant call The Kitchen Table, we offer a set menu that change every week depending on what we can get at the market and from our farmers.

Meh- fully expected a 5 star experience...it was interesting....the majority the 'courses' (small plates) WERE good, but I do believe people are getting caught up in the local, artisanal hype of this restaurant and maybe feel like they HAVE to think it's fabulous and if not than it's an indication that you just don't know food? It sounds like there's two experiences to be had here. One at the shop and one at the restaurant.
I can only speak to the shop, and I speak well of it. Their selection of fine cheeses, cured meats, and housemade pâté is probably unmatched in Halifax.
The employee there knew her stuff, and helped curate a selection of items for my party.
The quality and selection of items is of highest...

I am unable to comment on the food or the table at Ratinaud's restaurant (The Kitchen Table) service as we never made it into the restaurant.
Our visits to the chaucuterie at the front of Ratinaud have been a delight. Excellent food, great counter service. And so we have always wanted to try the restaurant in the back.
My family is coming to Halifax from across Canada for the holidays and...
