Superb food for a small town
Stop in at Johnny's and you won't be disappointed. It's a small town restaurant with a small town feeling, but a real chef who cooks up sumptuous meals. The best in Fort Macleod, this is upscale food in a small town ... sorta feels outta place, but the decor isn't all that upscale so doesn't feel weird.
Small town restaurant -- Big city fare
The chef owner of this restaurant in Fort Macleod came from Calgary. Apparently, just wanted a slower pace. The food is great. No small town mediocre food here. This cook knows what he is doing and offers it up fine. Best food in Fort Macleod heads above the competition.

worth the visit
August 03, 2014Restaurants are few in Fort MacLeod. After some bad experiences we found Johnny's.. The menu is well balanced between Chinese and Canadian food. We ate 'chinese' and thoroughly enjoyed it all. The restaurant is super clean, service is excellent and obviously, as a continuous stream of people came in, popular. It is good value. I would certainly go again.

Good Food, Great Service, Reasonable Price
August 03, 2014We stopped in for lunch on our way through Fort McLeod. The service was friendly and the food was good. The prices were reasonable. Good spot to stop for a bite to eat for the road warrior.

Western and Chinese

Like so many small towns in Alberta you can enjoy western or Chinese in the same establishment. This time we oped for Chinese. We ordered the meal for two on an evening where only two other tables were full. On a Saturday I thought it might be hopping.
The lady who served us was pleasant and prompt with our order....
