We went to the Harbour Diner on the recommendation of a friend, who said that they had a great breakfast. She was right! They had many inventive specials the day that we went like the peach, pear and apricot french toast that I had with an almond crumble topping. It was served with fresh fruit on the side by friendly wait staff. The look inside is retro, but not in a tired kind of way. I'll definitely check it out for something other than breakfast next time!
If Gordon Ramsay opened a breakfast/lunch restaurant, this would be it. Sensational food and an imaginative menu. Leave a big tip because the prices are too low. The eggs are works of art. The sausages and bacon are not the run of the mill kind. Their mussels are great and the seafood soup is "to die for". Great for dinner, too. This is a real find for the gourmet on a budget -- or even if you've got money to burn.
Good not great.
Decent breakfast but not a lot of seating. Do I enjoy being sweated while I am eating.
Not so much.
Good to try but meh -- so many other choices where people aren't standing on me for my table.
The food was really really good. However we wait for more than one hour to eat, the conditioned air was not working properly and the place was too hot inside. Also, the waiter brought the bill before we ask and before offering the desserts. It was not the best experience, unfortunately.
I loved the macaroni & cheese with lobster. Great cozy atmosphere and lovely people to talk with all around me.
If Gordon Ramsey could envision a diner, this would be it. A top chef making breakfast & lunch an artform. Dinner is great, too.
The Harbour Diner is a restaurant where most Menuism users came for fun with friends, paid between $10 and $25, and tipped less than 15%.
