One of the few fine dining neighbourhood places
Well, okay, it's not that upscale, but it is trying to be! The kitchen has good chefs, the menu is solid. The decor is trying hard but getting dated. Entertaiment on weekends adds to the great ambience. Did I mention the food is South American. Adds a bit of romantic twist to it all.
A rare and good South American restaurant in Calgary
Located in a quiet NW neighbourhood, this place is an exotic little find. Sweet live music on most weekends ... acoustics Spanish guitars, flutes, etc. Very nice touch. And the food ... well, very hearty and tasty. No high school kids in this kitchen! Almost upscale fare ... obviously real chefs. Service is good, ambience is great. Try it. The red meat dishes are great and the seafood is great ... and with South American flair.

Flavorful and unique - excellent food
June 30, 2014This café is off the beaten path in the NW, and we are so happy we found it. The food is excellent, the menu is quite extensive and the specials are unique. We were there on a Monday night, and understand there is live music on the weekends. Would definitely return!

What a lovely find

The exterior facade of the Blue House Cafe is very unassuming and then one enters to a restaurant that is simply lovely.
The atmosphere is lively, the menu has a great choice of dishes, the food simply delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was superb.
