It is nice to still be able to discover such places after a few years in Kelowna. Felt like home by the Rhein. Food is well prepared with large quantities of German dishes. Too bad they are not licensed, but a nice beer would go very well with the dishes.

I'm not much of a meat-eater, and vegetarians should note that there isn't much here for them, at least in the way of protein, but when I was working nearby I had a tasty vegetable sandwich that is very large and very filling, with a mayo mustard and melted cheese. We did not have lunch there, we just bought them to home. It was delicious, just $6.5 for whole pork hock, they packed them very well with foil. When we drove to Calgary, it was still warm. Next time, we will sit down and try their lunch. Remember, they just open Mon-Sat, 8-3 pm. Don't miss..
