I totally trust that my son is in good hands at Sylvan!
I am the parent of a 10 year old boy whom i enrolled in Sylvan Learning Centre 1 yr ago.
After they evaluated his academic level and comprehension ability, they designed a program to fit his needs that also incorporated his daily homework.
I can whole heartedly state that his being at Sylvan for the past year has greatly improved his grades, his confidence and his ability to organize and complete his homework on his own. The consistency of the instruction and the fact that he totally enjoys his teachers, has given me great peace of mind. I totally trust that he is in good hands at Sylvan.
Before I reached out to Sylvan for some help, my son was not scoring well in Math and English and homework was a battle that seemed to take forever and end in tears. He would dread taking any tests at school and when he didn't score very well, it confirmed in His mind that he was not smart. This has totally turned around and in just under a year he shines with pride when he gets an awesome grade.
Sylvan has become part of our family and has been instrumental in my sons academic accomplishments. Their flexibility allows for extra-curricular activities so he never feels like he is missing anything special.
We would wholeheartedly recommend their program to anyone.

Not cheap but well worth the money
I had tried two other tutor solutions with limited success. They really did not seem to understand my grade 9 sons needs and could not motivate him. Sylvan was different. Being certified teachers they had seen kids like him before and had a clear range of teaching methods that just seemed to connect with him. Not just that but he actually enjoys it there. So far, so good. I am grateful to be relieved of the guilt that I was failing my child.
Amazing and Attentive Staff
I just spoke with Desmond, the Executive Director and Centre Owner. He seems completely focused on the centre running smoothly in order to properly benefit the kids who attend Sylvan!
