Loved it

Food, service, and atmosphere were great. One of the best meals we had on the road this year. We will surely visit this charming downtown restaurant again, the next time we are in town.

Lovely Meal

Cuisine here is a pleasure to the taste buds. They have a fairly extensive wine list. In a recent meal I enjoyed the pan-seared halibut with chanterelle mushrooms. Phenomenal! There is a very diverse dessert list as well.
The Queen St. location is very lovely on a summer's eve, for outdoor dining. Service is excellent.

The servers are always nice and knowledgeable. We love the fine food and the casual atmosphere. Its always delicious, well priced, and both the chefs and servers do what they can to accommodate my allergies. we love it!

Went to the Palate today for the "blue plate feature". Priced at $8.50 I was not expecting much. It was curried sweet potato soup and a chicken pesto melt. My wife and I had lunch here on Tuesday April 1. We were quite impressed with the meal the service, and the location of this restaurant. I had the rack of lamb, and it was very delicious.
True it is a little on the expensive side, but it was worth very penny, and we will be going back again.

Not to be missed

Had the pleasure of dining here with a large group while on a business trip. What a fantastic experience! The setting is open and airy with interesting art and decor. The food - everybody was raving about their selection and vowed to return. Well done!

Excellent food and great prices

And great place for a nice dinner. A comfortable atmosphere with knowledgeable staff topped off with a reasonable wine selection. I would suggest sharing an appetizer unless you are really hungry. Ideal for a nice evening out without breaking the bank.

One of my favourite spots for lunch. Dinner is a little expensive but still worth it. One of the only restaurants that has an actual chef.

The Palate Restaurant in my view is one of the best restaurants in Fredericton. The presentation, flavor and taste are remarkable. The service is also excellent, atmosphere is great especially for the evening meal. The noon hour lunch is very good, quick service and very reasonably priced. Biggest hint would be reserve early as they appear to sell out quickly.

The Palate has great lunch specials - soup and open face sandwich combos that may sound a bit unusual, but are always delicious. Our favourite spot in Fredericton

I love the ambiance of the place...The lunch specials are good value.My favorite item on the menu is the salmon-one of the best salmon I've had in a restaurant. It's good place for a casual night date - not too romantic yet creates a good atmosphere to enjoy yourself. Great service as well.

Nice meal

This place was recommended by locals. I checked it out on Trip Advisor and it has great reviews so we gave it a try. The food and service were great and made a welcome change from the usual burgers and nachos type places that seem to be commonplace in the town.

Unmatched Value for food in Fredericton

Dollar for dollar, this is the best restaurant i've been to in NB.
Lunch is quick, and costs me about 13-15 bucks with tip.
Dinner the prices go up a little, and the quality goes up by a mile.

Consistently good

My family and I are regulars. It's a pleasant, artist space with large windows on a busy and attractive sidewalk. The beer selection is fair and the wines excellent. The appetizer menus is as extensive as the entrees. Service is pleasant and fast, with the food coming out consistently hot and well presented.

Had an excellent dinner here recently with colleagues. A casual space, with a great menu and talented kitchen. Their halibut was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, soups were lovely.

A pleasant place

Good service, nice menu, good food - recommended. The room is not very pleasant - sort of industrial, but that's ok. The restaurant is on Queen Street, which is pretty and interesting - go for a stroll after dinner.

Simply Fantastic

My wife and I love to eat at The Palate, mainly because of the food, but also because of the ambience and service. I highly recommend the Lemon Meringue Salmon. It's out of this world!

Amazing

The food is amazing here. Probably the best I've had in Fredericton. My favorite was probably the salmon, it just melted in my mouth. It's a little pricy for dinner, but the lunch menu is very affordable.
