If there was a negative star, this guy would get it. Odd that he has been in the business so many years and still does not know what he is doing.....or perhaps, does not care. Got the sides of my shoes repaired and paid in advance. After wearing them twice, the problem returned and this guy refused to repair them again or reimburse my money. His excuse was .... "if you paid $400 for shoes,... more
We live across the street so I brought two pairs of shoes there to have the soles fixed and the shoes cleaned.
The shoes were not done by the time he told me to pick them up and i had to come back two more times to finally get them. This alone wouldn't be a problem but he also did a super bad job. I ended up taking my shoes to another place on Kensington market a few months later cause the...

Today I picked up my shoes from Mr. Soles and I am astonished. WOW this is what i call workmanship! I was told by my buddies to visit him but I was nervous to give my $200 italian shoes to someone i didn't know. I am so happy I did! Thank you Mr. Soles! You are gifted.
Wish I could give 0 star. Terrible.
They do a horrible job; they do not care about the quality of their work, they just want your money. After I saw the so-called repair they did on my shoes, my immediate thought was that I should have just thrown it away rather than waste my time and money here. Second thought was that I should just go somewhere else next time.
If any one is great at fixing shoes it Mr. Soles. Although the store is small it is remarkable. The owner can literally fix anything you give him. He is sharp and knows what to do with shoes, belts, purses and even leather. I took him a few pairs of my Birkenstocks and Uggs and he made them band new. Impossible? not for him. I cannot find the same Uggs and Birkenstocks in the stores so I needed... more
I brought a brand new pair of cowboy boots to this place to get lifts attached on the bottom before winter. I didn't know anything about cowboy boots. I remember he was judging me before moving forward, like he sensed my vulnerability. He attached new lifts, but did not tell me that an additional protective layer needed to be attached. The salt on Toronto's roads are really damaging to leather.... more
Save your money. Zero attention to detail and overpriced. Bad attitude. When your shoes look better before you bring them in?... Never going back.
Will not return. Not great work, and both times not ready on the days promised.
This is a great place to have your shoes (of all kinds) repaired/stretched. They did a great job repairing a pair of leather boots by renewing the soles and dying the sides so that they looked almost brand new. Amazing!
I had my first experience with Mr Soles 2 weeks ago when I dropped a pair of my favorite brown suede boots. The man seemed to know his stuff and he had me excited that my old boots will be given a bit of new life. I was told he would have the boots ready by next Saturday. perfect. I wasn't able to pick them up the next weekend so I popped in the following monday. After about 15 min of... more
Yeah, don't come here. I live up the street so I've brought shoes here twice. You know how normal places give you a pick-up date, and you come on that date to pick up? Yeah, that's not how Mr. Soles sees it. That date is just an arbitrary number and you generally have to come back at least once, if not twice or more, to finally get your shoes.
It's not like they have rock-bottom prices. It's...

Ahh the Shoe place in Metro parking lot. I've been curious about this place for a while and finally took in my favourite pair of boots. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable, and it is clear that he cares about his work. I had previous work done to these shoes at another location about 6 months prior which were not the prettiest fixes. He took the liberty of repairing the old fix and... more
I had a terrible experience with Mr Soles. I know this one star rating might seem harsh, but I'd give them zero if I could because that's exactly the amount of service I received for my money. I brought in a pair of Vintage leather shoes in a size 7. They seemed to fit when I purchased them, but proved uncomfortable to walk in, so I asked for them to be stretch about half a size. Upon paying $8... more
The guys who run this place are quite nice and have a great turn-around, but the quality of the work is really lacking. I've had two pairs of shoes bite the dust only weeks after having them "repaired" at Mr. Soles. It's really too bad, because they are so friendly!
The Mr Soles gents are very friendly and they will do excellent work to spruce up your favourite shoes and boots. I've had soles replaced, zippers fixed, seams stitched, heels refurbished, straps repaired, buttons reattached and leather stretched. The prices might be higher than you were expecting to pay, but as I said, this is quality workmanship.
The trick to a good Mr Soles experience is...

Ok, so this is the little shoe repair place right in parking lot of the Metro grocery store at College and Clinton, at the corner.
I brought in my Birkenstock sandals to have the soles replaced. I told him I was going on vacation the next day and needed it quick. The guy had it turned around in less than 4 hours, before the end of the day which was cool. He used the Vibram soles rather than...

In a world of Wal-Mart throw aways, this man admired my boots and repaired them to perfection.
