Technically, this is a restaurant, but I have yet to meet anyone who chooses it for dinner (though people do decide to stay for dinner after meeting for drinks here). Famous as the spot where Jay-Z had his bachelor party, Lobby is sleek and sophisticated, and the crowd is dressed to match. Scenesters, this one's for you.

As its name implies, this see-and-be-seen Yorkville fixture is intended to mimic the sophisticated, clubby feel of a boutique hotel lobby. Located further uptown than Ultra Supper Club and Guvernment, it draws a fashion-forward thirtysomething crowd sipping pricey vodka martinis while draped over white leather couches or jockeying for hangout room at an onyx bar.

White-washed, South Beach-style decor has been upheaved for a decidedly more urban look. Truth be told, this resto/lounge could look like a grandfather's closet and it would still be the home to rich and the filthy rich. This has to be the worst restaurant in Toronto. The food selection is good but the cooking tastes like the bottom of the sole of a sandal. The service is haughty and the owners are unapologetic for wait staff setting customers on fire.

High rollers and chic sophisticates love to tread at this trendy lounge as a place to be seen. The best time to come here is during Summerlicous, when they give your a prixe fixe menu with excellent choices (like creme brulee).
