Technically, this is a restaurant, but I have yet to meet anyone who chooses it for dinner (though people do decide to stay for dinner after meeting for drinks here). Famous as the spot where Jay-Z had his bachelor party, Lobby is sleek and sophisticated, and the crowd is dressed to match. Scenesters, this one's for you.

As its name implies, this see-and-be-seen Yorkville fixture is intended to mimic the sophisticated, clubby feel of a boutique hotel lobby. Located further uptown than Ultra Supper Club and Guvernment, it draws a fashion-forward thirtysomething crowd sipping pricey vodka martinis while draped over white leather couches or jockeying for hangout room at an onyx bar.

White-washed, South Beach-style decor has been upheaved for a decidedly more urban look. Truth be told, this resto/lounge could look like a grandfather's closet and it would still be the home to rich and the filthy rich. Indulgent decor includes hand-blown chandelier, elongated tribal masks, and black and white photos subbing in for wallpaper. It's irrelevance to the hipster crowd remains, but... more
