Great Hotel and Staff

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Riverport for two nights over Christmas, and it was a very positive experience. The staff is friendly and helpful plus the rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast is superior to most hotels. The items included hot and cold choices, and were nicely displayed. The breakfast room is large and attractive. We would definitely stay here again.

What we wanted

Apart from the fact that we were in a different hotel than I expected, one further from the airport, we were very happy with our stay. It had everything we needed for a one night stay before a flight out of Vancouver. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was breakfast and a shuttle when needed to the airport.

The hotel is well appointed and everything seemed in good repair. Bed was very comfortable and the area is quite. We used the indoor pool and hot tub and had them all to ourselves.

My wife and I arrived at the airport in the wee hours of the morning -- the hotel shuttle came and got us promptly. We checked in quickly and flopped into (a very comfortable) bed, in a spotless room. It was much appreciated. We'd certainly stay here again, if we were travelling through Vancouver.

Nice hotel, but not in Vancouver

This is a new property with great rooms. Even though there is good public transportation, bus and train, to Vancouver, it is not a good choice if you plan to tour Vancouver. Lots of young hockey players there since there is a rink near the hotel. They did not pose a problem.

Nice hotel, quiet, I was upgraded as a Platinum member to a nicer room.
Also, on Wednesday night, there was a Managers event from 5-6:30pm with some snacks and beer and wine. This was very nice.
I used the gym every morning, everything worked properly in the gym.
The free breakfast is the typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast, nothing fancy, but fine for most mornings.

I picked this Motel due to its closeness in walking distance to food/movies/drinks. Reason was, I was not renting a car for the one day, & yes, I paid the price in cab fare from the airport. Far away from YVR Airport

The idea was originally to save some money on transportation by booking a hotel close to the airport, this is not the case. I had to pay from River Rock Hotel to Holiday Inn Riverport around 38 CAD. Very nice hotel. It is conveniently located in Richmond, BC. Vancouver and the Airport are not too far away. The junior suite is great, because it gives you a sitting area to watch TV.

Perfect if you have an early morning flight

Courteous professional staff ... totally reliable airport shuttle service every hour .. reliable wake up calls ... comfortable mattresses and clean rooms ... they even made sure we had a "to go" breakfast because we were leaving at 4AM ... we would definitely stay there again ... and the pricee was right

This staff is the best i've ever seen, and I'm not related to them. Hotel is spotless, even the elevatordoors, no finger prints on the shiney stainless steeldoors. Room was very clean, coffee around the clock, even at 4 am. hot fresh coffee. From the shuttle driver to the desk crew, top notch

Feels a bit like in the middle of nowhere but actually quite convenient to the airport (15 min away) and awesome Chinese food in downtown Richmond.
The rooms are spacious and clean with all the usual amenities: free wi-fi, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, good beds and pillows.
A good place to stay at before catching an early morning flight.

H I Riverport

i stayed at this hotel on business, for my purposes it was ideally situated although being classed as an airport hotel is stretching it a bit. The local amenities are great, a cinema, restaurants etc all close to hand so no need to go far for those evenings 'stuck' in a hotel far from home.

Excellent Holiday Inn. The full (and free) breakfast was delicious, completely stocked, and spacious seating. Even better set up than other Holiday Inn Expresses. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything looked brand new. Handy little store for snacks and beverages off the front desk. Free airport shuttle.

I was very impressed with the quality of this hotel. It was new, comfortable, and clean. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the breakfast. Usually, I don't think breakfast matters much, but it was really poor (stale cereal, terrible tasting processed egg product, etc).

The room was nice. My wife and I stayed 6 nights since I was in Richmond for work related training. The breakfast is not that great nor was the flavor of the coffee. Definitely rate this a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10.Bad sausage and eggs. We were visiting Vancouver and selected this hotel because of its fairly close proximity to Vancouver and super highway (Route 99). All aspects of this hotel were first class; including front desk help, spotless rooms, great continental breakfast, plus all the staff we met were very polite and friendly. We stayed overnight before flying to Europe. The staff was very helpful. The shuttle service was good. It was a consistent experience with previous stays @ Holiday Inn. The area had no quality restaurants within walking distance which was unfortunate.

Nice quick stay

We shopped at the nearby stores and markets in Richmond, visited Stanley Park in Vancouver, and went to the summer night market in Richmond. We spent very little time in the actual hotel but it was nice and had a complimentary breakfast!

Best Holiday Inn ever!

It starts with a beautiful lobby, staffed by the most friendly and helpful desk staff I've seen in a long while. The rooms are spotless, quiet, comfortable. Large screen TV. Great beds. Mostly, though, it was the staff that made it a great visit. They even helped us to get to the dock.

this hotel is very quiet and good proximity to food, movie and sports venue. everything is walkable. brand new hotel and very nice appointments. the hot breakfast was cold. staff very nice. a bit off the beaten path but that makes it quiet.

Theroom seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area.
