My Meetup group decided to have lunch at the Arms Reach Bistro right after our kayaking adventure in Deep Cove. We were seated right on the patio quickly and observed their interesting menu. We ordered a variety of their main brunch dishes to fill up our appetite as we were quite hungry from our water excursion. The service was friendly and quick, and the food was great. Their menu had some interesting items, nothing too unique but nothing mundane either. The facilities were nice and the atmosphere was inviting. Definitely a place to check out when cruising through Deep Cove.
A casual family- and wallet-friendly dining room that offers an excellent brunch-the "fruit bomb" with honey granola and yogurt ($8) or the weekend Benny ($11.50)-at portions that will keep you fuelled for the day. Lunch and dinner include a tasty Chad salad with greens, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, goat cheese, and cashews ($11), spicy spaghetti with chorizo sausage has just enough... more
It is rare to find location, service and quality of food in the same place but that is the case at The Arms Reach.
Beautiful location in Deep Cove and a menu that always has us coming back for more.
Wow! We splurged here for a late lunch and are so glad that we did. My husband and I were visiting Vancouver and surrounding area and our host recommended this gem. The town of Deep Cove is stunning and quaint, and it's darkness and quiet is charming. This restaurant gives a great view of the cove with front and side walls of large windows. The atmosphere is elegant and calm so that it takes... more
We arrived in Deep Cove quite late on a Sunday night. Everything was closed. Before we could be completely disappointed we stumbled upon this elegant restaurant right before our very eyes.
Right along the water, with a view that is simply stunning (during the daytime and now during the night as I have newly discovered), this place is marvellously located.
The menu was magnificently mastered,...

I love Arms Reach. The prices are great for what you get - elevated comfort food without the stiff price. I always get the spicy spaghetti, and this time was no different. It was amazing as always with large chunks of prawn and chorizo with a zesty kick. Never a disappointment.
This time we opted for the calamari as the appy, but typically we go for the coconut curry mussels ( SOOOOOOO...

Delicious food in a gorgeous setting. We went for a lunch my husband had an amazing shrimp and smoked salmon sandwich. It sounded like a rather odd combo and even though I don't usually even like sandwiches, it was delicious! I had a kale salad with strawberries, blue berries and grilled chicken also quite fabulous. The service was super friendly and it was the perfect finish to a hike to... more
We live in Deep Cove and love this place. The selection on the menu never fails to impress - regular menu plus some great specials. Great cocktail and wine list, and the desserts are good.
Book ahead - this place is the only upscale restaurant in Deep Cove and tends to be packed.
BRUNCH NO DRINKS ALLOWED
The last time we went for brunch was several months ago and in retrospect rather funny, although at the time we were just annoyed. We sat at a table in the corner and were served by a young waiter who came by with a coffee pot and glasses of water. We didn't mind the water but don't usually drink tap, still no biggie. We didn't want coffee and when we started to ask...

Sorry to say I brought a foreign friend here for dinner and had a bad experience. Previously only tried brunch here before, which has been very nice. My beet salad was fine but unexceptional, however everyone else's was much below this. My partner had a chicken curry dish which was 90% very bland curry sauce with only a few morsels of chicken on a huge bed of rice. My friends food also very... more
This place has really good food (I highly recommend the crab cakes) and service - it has an atmosphere where suits or shorts are both fine which is very nice and welcoming. There were some minor hiccups. Parking in the area is tough. They gave away our table so we had to wait an extra 35 minutes. The patio area is beset by insects including ants and all sorts of flying things. There is a... more
This place does a solid job most of the time. Simple tight menu. Quite varied in options however. So easily something for everybody. The angry chicken is always good. And you really couldn't make it yourself at home. So well worth it. The beef carpaccio is a great appetizer. I had the seafood pasta linguine last time I was there and it could have been better. my friend had the butter chicken.... more
Linguine and butter chicken good enough for share for 2-3 people. It was very tasty. Great Service, very friendly and polite. Also was surprised with hand-cut fries- delicious! Very nice restaurant in beautiful and quiet place. Ideal place for lovely vocational dinning.
Service, location and food all top notch.
The only thing that peeved me was that we decided to share a sandwich and a pasta (both entrees). The server offers to split the pasta and we're like sure that'd be nice so we don't have pick at each other's food. However, when the bill came, she charged us to split the plate! Had I known it was going to be an extra charge, I could have easily done it...

Nice ambiance, we enjoyed sitting at the patio with the view of the cove. Excellent service too. I had their brunch special and I loved it. My only complaint is the washroom, it's so small and crowded.
My husband stopped in for dinner on Sunday night after a long day of driving and exploring the coast line. We picked this place based on the other good reviews and it certainly didn't disappoint. Despite not having a reservation we were easily seated in the dining room. The waitress was very helpful and provided great service. The food was delicious. Had brunch here a week ago and it was spot on. Enjoyed a nice Chardonnay recommendation from our server. Only thing that was off was a group of ladies trying to talk over the music. Not so relaxing on a lazy Sunday brunch but watcha gonna do? Food and service top notch!
The Deep Cove location is very nice with a lovely view.
We found the menu to be a bit limited. Had the cauliflower soup which was wonderful. The main courses were both good, not great, but good. Specialty cocktails were imaginative and tasty.

Hands down my favorite restaraunt. The staff is great, the view is great, the ambience is great. All of that could be absolute c@!p but the food would still make it 5 stars.
Service was good. Food was alright. Good prices. It feels a bit dank and they could benefit by getting rid of the old and dirty carpet. View was amazing. It's not bad but not terribly impressive.
I have always had a pleasant experience here. I like the added touch of the blankets on the chairs. I live in Deep Cove and frequently dine here. I recommend it to anyone visiting our beautiful little town.
Lovely place for enjoying the sun at its terrace. Great location close to deep cove park. Also great food.
I had chicken Penne with goat cheese and it was very tasty. Pisco Sour was very good too and the alcohol wasn't very strong.
I also had a good Belgian chocolate pate but it is like a chocolate mousse that comes with a passionfruit cream. Delicious combination.

Absolutely killer meal unexpected in the little slice of heaven that is Deep Cove. Lobster Pasta and Lois Lake Steelhead were great. The mussels were fantastic and served in an amazing coconut butter sauce.
Overall an excellent little slice of culinary delight in a beautiful setting!
Stopped in here for Dine Out Vancouver after hearing rave reviews from friends.
First off - it's gloriously casual and homey but still a bit upscale. You feel like it's your neighborhood joint that you would know everyone by name, and where you'd take out of towners for a meal to impress.

I've been here a few times now, and it's always 5/5 for service, food quality, ambiance and cleanliness. Can't say enough good things about the place. Make a reservation to ensure a window table. My favourite dish: the carpaccio, hands down. Always done exactly the same: to perfection. I've never ordered anything I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

Fantastic!
The Calamari Frito was super light and perfectly seasoned. Perfect!
I had the Pan Roasted Lois Lake Steelhead and it was great. Skin side was nice and crispy and the fish was cooked perfectly. The lobster risotto was delicious too. My wife had the Lobster and Prawn Linguine and it was really good too.
Can't wait to come back and try some other items.
Good food and friendly staff if a little expensive for things at the upper end of the menu like the steak that is much better value at the KEG say. But saying that I would rather give my money to a local small business than an impersonal corporate.
Great little restaurant try it out.
Hands down the best restaurant on the North Shore. And possibly in all of Vancouver. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing pasta's, great wine and beer menu and beautiful view of deep cove. Their angry chicken, spicy spagettii, and beef carpaccio are ridiculously good. This place never dissapoints!
Can enjoy a very pretty view of the cove if you sit by the windows.
Ordered the coconut mussels, beef carpaccio, crab cakes, the gorgonzola garlic bread. All delicious but i'd skip the crab cakes next time. Too much corn meal, too little crab. Service was impeccable.
A nice and cozy restaurant to enjoy lunch or dinner in this cute little town :)
Just stopped in Deep Cove for a quick bite at Arm's Reach Bistro. So satisfied with the Chad salad and Thai Coconut mussels! Ordered a side of garlic aioli for the fries that came with the mussels! I'm coming back for sure. A glass of white wine would of threw it to the moon but instead I started with a Caesar. Can't wait to come back and try some of the main courses.
Genuine service, great food, and interesting location to boot.
In Deep Cove I've never gone for anything but a casual pizza at the Raven or sandwich and donut at Honey's,... who knew there was this stellar restaurant at the end of the road all along.

This is a great place to end a great day. The service is friendly and flexible to accommodate your requests. Food is well prepared and prices are fair. It is not super sophisticated yet a cool cozy intimate bistro.
Top it all with a good wine and you night will be complete!
Four of us had a great dinner here. Made a reservation for 5 pm Sat and our table was ready when we arrived. Even though the restaurant got very busy we never felt we were being rushed. Outside patio was already full with a waiting list. No reservations taken for the patio so this was not an option. Have had lunch here in the past and was excellent.
Had the seafood linguini - very little seafood and tiny pieces - flavourful but not worth the price
The cheesecake was amazing! The Linguine Pescatore and the Halibut special were something we would come back for all way from California. Thanks!
We often eat here, the owner and cook are great and it is scenic. I booked 4 adult people for a birthday dinner and could only get 7:30 pm. You cannot book on the patio. Our perfect date night bistro, fantastic food, delicious wines & beautiful location!
Great food as usual. The Harissa chicken sandwich on ciabatta was fabulous as was the addition of avocado to the BLT sandwich. Everyone in our group of 5 was impressed by the food. The only thing that could have improved our visit on a hot day would have been air conditioning inside the restaurant.
We had excellent servers whe kept filling the water glasses and bread basket. The servers were genuinely interested in how we enjoyed our meal. Our food came in correct sequence and our entree was hot and delicious. So delicious, I wanted to discontinue conversation and enjoy.
Delicious crab cakes and very tasty sandwiches served in a classy yet relaxed environment near the Deep Cove water.
Excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant. One of my all time favourites.
Outstanding experience, the server we had made our night. She anticipated our every need, and insured we had a great time. The food was hot and tasty and we'll prepared. A problem with one dish, the mussel dish, had a lot of empty shell's, was immediately replaced with a whole new order.
We will return and will recommend to everyone. Our server " Kelsey" ? Was outstanding.
Great find. Booked for my wife's birthday, took our 8 yr old son. Great service, great food, great location. The set menu 3 course with wine pairings was awesome. Our server gave recommendations and changed the recipes to suit the needs of our group. We will be going back again.....and again, and again....... Don't tell everyone though, it's a great local secret.
Best restaurant in Deep Cove. Mussels in coconut and beef carpaccio are superb; one of us had both on successive nights.
Arm's Reach is a favourite neighbourhood restaurant. We have tried many of the dishes on the menu; the food is fresh and flavourful, and we have never been disappointed. Stopped by Arms Reach Bistro by chance while visiting Vancouver. Immediately enjoyed the ambience and the view is incredible. We sat outside and were even given blankets to keep us warm. The servers were friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
Arms Reach is where I go with the family, for more than 10 years, on special occasions. It's not a cheap restaurant, but the chefs they had over the years make it great. I always had a pricey but best in town tasty steak plate here. You pay more than $30 for such a plate, but it's a luxury and - if you like steaks as I do - you know what I mean.

I have had some wonderful meals here in the last few months and have said so. But I was surprised on this last visit. Two of the four main dishes at our table were pastas and disappointing. We went to Arms Reach Bistro for the first time this past Sunday. The place was quite busy as it was the Sunday of a long weekend, so the noise level was quite loud that evening. Some of the dishes we had were great and presented well (carpaccio and crab cakes). I grew up in the Cove and my mom really enjoys this restaurant. I took her for Mother's Day dinner this past Sunday. The food was amazing but our server, Dave, was awful. Food, ambience, scenic view: all perfect!Arms reach Bistro is in our top 5 restaurants in Vancouver.
Always enjoy the atmosphere, view and food. Was craving the spaghetti!
We've discovered this gem some years ago. The menus are interesting as is the wine list. And Kelsey, our server, was lovely, too. It's a beautiful place and casual enough not to be intimidating! And, as somebody intimated; it's worth every mile the extra ten minutes drive. Vive la Arms Bistro!
The restaurant is next to the water, so the views are very nice. The food was very good, our server was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. The only issue we had was that the restaurant was quite noisy when we were there, although admittedly as some other guests left, the noise became more tolerable later. Overall, we had a good experience and I would recommend the restaurant to others.

We marvelled at several stand up paddle boarders before heading back to the restaurant. Great food, service and ambience on... more
Good food in a great place, deep cove is a hidden gem. Definitely try this restaurant out if in the area. Lots of choice on menu.
Lovely ambience, great location, friendly staff, first rate food. Head and shoulders above the rest.
You will need to book though.
A picturesque location with very good food and great value. Perfect for couples, special occasions. A little jewel all the locals love. Won't disappoint, especially if you book on a nice evening. Stroll the Cove before or afterwards.
We had a birthday dinner here recently; booked a table for 8 people, including one person with an assistive device for her broken ankle. When we arrived, very crowded, with a line of people waiting to get their names on a list, but our table was ready and waiting. Exactly right. Our server did a wonderful job keeping up with... more
perfect day, lovely location, delicious SPREETZ, excellent food and extremely good service.
it isnt often i go to a restaurant that makes me want to come back at least four more times to sample the enticing offerings but this place does.
We had to wait a short time to get a patio table at this popular waterside bistro. Good chance to walk around and see the Deep Cove waterfront. Deep Cove is worth the trip from downtown just to enjoy the beautiful location. The bistro was wonderful. We had the BLTAC sandwich, Gaspe shrimp sandwich and Chicken-brie sandwich. Enjoyed them all.... more
We stopped in here for lunch a couple weekends ago and were turned off by a few events during our visit. For one, the patio is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed to sit by their owners and are served a b owl of water. I don't appreciate having a dog a few feet from my chair and my food, with... more
The Arms Reach Bistro is our go-to restaurant. As locals, my husband and I have been there several times. It's our favourite place on the North Shore.
What we like about it... well pretty much everything. The ambiance is always great. The views of Deep Cove can't be beat at any time of year, and in any weather. The restaurant...

We had lunch there today with my husband & father & we really enjoyed it. Even though it was the Canada Day weekend, so there were a lot of people, they managed to find us a table on the patio in 15 min. We went for a walk and they called us when the table was ready.
The food was...

Had a lovely meal here while visiting the area. Food great and fairly priced. Staff very helpful and helped us with our choices. The restaurant was very busy which is always a good sign. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
Ate at this bistro on our last night before travelling back to the uk, set in a lovely location over looking the bay this was an ideal choice for our special meal. The menu is a variation of seafood, Italian and is very reasonably priced. The seafood linguine is the best I've ever tasted and all the other members of... more
This place has gone through its fair share of ups and downs. The prices have slowly creeped up as they have decided to cater more towards tourists. In the past we were greeted by grim looking staff at the front door that acted as if we were a bother. We have lived on the North Shore for many years and... more
The menu is great, I have never had a bad dish. I appreciate their interesting and well put together salads (its hard to get a salad worth eating some places!). They have a nice selection of beer and wine and the ambiance is just perfect - its cozy and intimate inside, and brunch or lunch on the patio cannot be... more
Went to the Arms Reach Bistro on a whim. Boy were we happy we did. The food was served piping hot and it was tasty and very well presented. Service was very friendly but still professional. We will definitely be returning.
Over this past fabulous weekend, we enjoyed several dinners at Arms Reach. Choose seating on the patio overlooking Deep Cove, sun setting in the west, lighting the snow on the far peaks. Menu selection was creative and diverse. The wine selection equally superb. Service was attentive and engaged but not "too". In all, it was a very pleasant stay in... more
It was okay but the entrees were very average and disappointing.
We had relatives in town and they wanted to go to a restaurant with a view. They had suggested a restaurant in town but we mentioned to them that the food there was overpriced and not very good. We settled on Arms Reach Bistro. It was really busy on...

One of my favorite bistro on the North shore.
Great view of Deep Cove and a nice menu.
Very affordable for this location.
Nice little bar and live music at times.
I love this place.

We received the recommendation to eat at Arms Reach Bistro from the owners of the B&B where we stayed, and we weren't disappointed. This busy restaurant is frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. In fact I heard one gentleman saying that he ate there every Wednesday night.
Meals can be taken on the patio or inside the restaurant. Nice views of Deep Cove bay can be seen from either...
