Step into a Scandanavian den filled with teak furniture and jazzy tunes. Is there such a thing as cozy modernist décor? Here there is. Slide up to the bar for a libation that might have you grabbing the sax or swing dancing—if only there was room. The menu asks “Savory or sweet?” And you answer “Why both, of course. Arancini, scallop carpaccio and lychee granita, if you please.”

We wanted an early dinner before going to the Centre Bell to see Don Juan. We took advantage of the early bird menu. We started with the soup which was very flavourful and had a wonderful texture. I think it was cream of asparagus. I had the chicken (too large a portion with two big breasts!) which was delicious, but could have fed two or three people! My husband had the salmon which was... plus
Very mixed review. Here's why: this restaurant is unfortunately very unstable as far as quality of service goes. Food and wine list are excellent and thats really too bad compared to the extremely stuck up attitude of some of the waiters. Had one very good experience and two days ago went back after a couple months i honestly could NOT BELEIVE IT WAS THE SAME PLACE. service was beyond horrible:... plus
I've been to several french restaurants with an open mind, never disappointed until I tried this place. It was a beautiful sunny day, and walking into the dull dark cornery atmosphere of this restaurant was the first disappointment. We were the only customers there which was probably a sign. Then couldn't get service for nearly 30 minutes. They don't believe... plus
An interesting meal, four appetizers, two pizzas and some wine. The decor... well, that was the pits, old 1960s and 1970s Danish teak wood and very little romance or even comfort, the walls screamed out, paint me and give ambiance.
While seated and waiting between course we thought to ourselves that with some interesting decor, maybe some verrines? Or calling...

I probably never would have tried this restaurant but they had a promotion via one of those daily deal websites. It appeared to be a good deal so we went for it. Pop is next door to a sister restaurant, which we accidentally walked into thinking it was Pop! We were disappointed to be brought over to the tragically decorated... plus

A wonderful wine list with several organic choices, live jazz, comfy mod décor in shades of orange, green and brown that recalls the late 60s — what more could you ask from a wine bar? Well, Pop! Also has some cute but tasty "Poptails" and even offers olive oil tastings. Patrice Demers, formerly with the much-lauded Laloux, is the chef, which elevates the place to dining-destination status. The... plus
