Step into a Scandanavian den filled with teak furniture and jazzy tunes. Is there such a thing as cozy modernist décor? Here there is. Slide up to the bar for a libation that might have you grabbing the sax or swing dancing—if only there was room. The menu asks “Savory or sweet?” And you answer “Why both, of course. Arancini, scallop carpaccio and lychee granita, if you please.”

Nous avons passé une très belle soirée (groupe de 14). Le service était excellent, les entrées sublimes, certains plats principaux ont été décevants (saumon, flétan) d'autres de véritables succès (bison, veau, linguini). Very mixed review. Here's why: this restaurant is unfortunately very unstable as far as quality of service goes. Food and wine list are excellent and thats really too bad compared to the extremely stuck up attitude of some of the waiters. Bien que je ne sois pas un fan des ambiances Jazz, ce restaurant m'a énormément plu. Avec un menu gastronomique et un service de premier ordre. Mon filet mignon au fromage de chèvre était tout simplement parfait. Soupe, salade, dessert, excellent! Avec une carte de vin impressionante et un décor chaleureux m'a soirée a été des plus agréable. Je le recommande car j'y retournerai souvent.

We arrived early evening, most tables were reserved which is always a good sign. The special, a steak ensemble of peppers and yam was quite excellent. The waitress was both informative and polite, expertly blending into the background whilst being extremely attentive. It was a beautiful sunny day, and walking into the dull dark cornery atmosphere of this restaurant was the first disappointment. We were the only customers there which was probably a sign. An interesting meal, four appetizers, two pizzas and some wine. The decor... well, that was the pits, old 1960s and 1970s Danish teak wood and very little romance or even comfort, the walls screamed out, paint me and give ambiance.
While seated and waiting between course we thought to ourselves that with some interesting decor, maybe some verrines? Or calling...

27 mai 2009This is definitely not your bang for your buck! Microscopic portions with an extremely limited menu to choose from. Horrible atmoshpere and the service is not existant. Discovered a hip and trendy new wine bar...right out of Wallpaper magazine! Tasty appetizers like salmon tartar and tart Alsacienne with amazing wine list of over 30 wines by the glass.
