Always good ... a standard for years
When you want to get back to comfort food that gives you a wide spectrum of choice from great pasta to great steaks to dishes with a Greek flair, this is the place. The steaks are not cheap, but they have one called "The Greatest", which is pretty close at least.
Renovations!
This building has been here forever, as has Nick's Steakhouse. But I would welcome something new and exciting to take its place, because this restaurant is too dated and old fashioned, and their food shows it, that it just needs to be replaced, or heavily overhauled.
kinda boring
the decor here is just so old fashioned, and even the staff seem like they've been working here for 15 years. everything's in the past, and the food was somewhat cold and really mediocre

Coming from Buffalo NY, where pizza is it's own food group, It's been difficult finding a place in Calgary with great pizza. We've never tried Nick's before, even though we're by the university all the time. I went here for pizza. The smallest size is more than enough for one person, so you could even share with someone else. There were vegetarian options, which you don't always get with restaurants that have steak in the title. The pizza was good, and the location is good as well.

Pizza = Good.
Service = NOT good.
Last night some friends and I met up at Nick's for a slab of pie and some chats. We were a larger group, 8 adults and 2 children and we were pretty easy going. But for some reason it was taking Louise a long time to take drink orders, take food orders and return for any questions or concerns. I think my biggest beef with this type of service is a grat of 18%...

Go there early if you are going on the day of a Stamps game. The decor is really old and ugly (unless you like the trends from the 70's)...guys seriously you could do a lot more buisness if the restaurant was renovated.

This resturant is not only great, but it is consistant. (unlike smugglers inn, which goes from garbage to gold depending on the day of the week)
