I visited Mr.Pickwick's after doing some shopping in the trendy Denman area of downtown Vancouver. Having a maritime background I'm always craving fish and chips. Mr.Pickwick's is a good place to go when hanging out around English Bay or checking out the cool shops around Denman. The setting is clean, although somewhat dated. The washrooms needing serious renovations and the decor generally spartan, Mr.Pickwick's gains a loyal audience for their simple yet delicious menu and attentive service. With lunch and dinner fair that is styled after English and Maritime Canadian cuisine, Mr.Pickwick's hits the spot with their genuine dishes. The servers are friendly and great to deal with and the food comes quick. The portion size is fair and the prices are just right. I'd recommend Mr.Pickwick's anytime you're in the are craving good seafood and good service.
