Located in the downtown core, minutes from Roy Thomson Hall, Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the Air Canada Centre. Marcel’s offer traditional French cuisine in a romantic setting and an exclusive selection of fine wines, many by the glass.
I had the venison here and it was perfect. It didnt taste "gamey" and was perfectly seared on the outside and rare on the inside. Served with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies in a juniper sauce, it was superb. The hazelnut creme brule was also quite good, but not the best I've had in the city. Service was decent and the food arrived promptly. I would for sure go back again, and again.
On m'avais recommandé cet endroit.

"A reliable place for dinner before the theatre" since 1984, this second-storey Entertainment Districter delivers "consistent" French plates backed by a sizable wine list, including 20 by the glass; though critics complain "slow service" results when it's "busy", overall, staffers "make an effort" to get patrons to their show on time.
I have been going to Marcel's for thirty years and have never seen it so empty....was there 5.30 to 6.50, before a baseball game and there was only 4 people in the restaurant...the food and the service were good, so why so few customers....the street was busy with people and most restaurants were busy
Excellent service by all staff... server checked after each course, manager also came by to see if all ok. Food was delicious and portion sizes were perfect for lunch.
I came for dinner at Marcels and wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent and food was served promptly. I started with the terrine which was delicious and had peppercorns that added a nice spice. Next was the steak and potatoes and it was perfectly cooked and tasty. The crust on the meat was just the right texture. Dessert was the tart normande which I've never had and it was terrific... more
This is trully a hidden gem in Toronto. Fabulous food & service. Highly recommended!
Hello I went to Marcel's with my wife yesterday and I can say I was fully satisfied from the beginning to the end. Thank you to the staff.
Food was great. Service was great. AND they had air conditioning. While everyone else might look 'cool' sitting on a patio this weekend, we two old people were very happy in one of our 'cooler' favorite places.
