Located outside of Banff
This hotel is actually quite a ways out of Banff, so don't be confused. It's a great place though, and the staff are very accommodating. Well maintained property with comfortable beds and big patio windows so you can wake up to the nice sunshine (if you want). I had a pleasant stay here.

Opened in 2004 on the site of a venerable motor lodge at the base of Mount Norquay, half a mile outside of town, the Juniper aims for a contemporary boutique feel. It largely succeeds, nicely mixing reclaimed wood, slate tile, and nature photos in its public spaces. The 52 rooms come with sleek duvets, balconies, and CD players. Nice hotel, outside banff town, but within walking distance. The whole area is nice, surround by mountains. At night, after I came back, I like to sit at their restaurant patio. You can do that without order anything.

A little rough around the edges but a pretty good hotel with friendly staff. They allow dogs which is road trip convenient and the pillows are super comfy.

The bed was too hard.
The HCAV system sounded like a diesel truck.
Couldn't adjust the temperature without contacting the front desk.
The walls were too thin (I literally heard a phone ringing and wife heard someone snoring).
Floors were creaky.
