i'm glad they opened a joey's here because it's a good change from the other places nearby. pretty good fish and chips.
I used to love eating at joey's at their old location in Kingsland back in the day, but I was happy to see that we have one this far south! My haddock and chips were ready in less than 10 minutes and the fish was still hot and crispy by the time I got home. Friendly staff & management. Super convenient for take-out! I'm definitely a fan..
This is a small hole in the wall, with a dingy fish joint look (which it is).
First, we tried to order the halibut, but were informed that did not have any. My wife ended up ordering the "premium" burger (in name only). The bun was stale, the burger was rubber, and the small piece of lettuce was long past good.

We went using a Groupon voucher. we each had fish and chips, one of us had cod and one had haddock.
What can I say, this is greasy fish and chips. The fish itself was good, but the breading was too thick and greasy for our liking. Tartar sauce was bland and didn't have enough pickle chunks, and they also didn't give you enough for the fish.
