Nice modern store with a lot of stock.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to return my recent bicycle purchase to them the next day. Even though the bicycle had never left the store (I was picking it up next day because of assembly times) they refused to take it back! Their best offer was a hefty 20% restocking fee on a bike which never went out their front door!!!
The owner kept pointing to the fine print on the bicycle sales contract that there were no returns. The bicycle sales contract itself leads you to believe that you are agreeing to "wear a helmet" and "ride in a responsible manner." The part about about no returns hides on the side of the page away from where it would normally be read.
So be sure you actually love the bike before you buy one from Caps Westwood.
I visited Cap's Westwood to look for a new bicycle. My old bicycle was far too outdated in such poor shape it would have been unsafe to use. On my first visit to Cap's Westwood I was very impressed with their service and selection of high quality bicycles. They have a large selection of professional mountain and racing bikes as well as recreational and leisure bikes. They service all of their bikes and warranty their work. Their prices range from $350 to over $3,500 so you can imagine you should be able to find what you're looking for. I was able to walk away with a great deal, $600 for a new bike plus a new helmet, gloves and a three year warranty. The staff took time to explain all the workings of the bike and proper maintenance and use. Cap's Westwood is a great company to deal with when you're looking to purchase a new bicycle. Just one visit saved and I saved time and money.

The people at the service department have no idea on customer Service or know anything about bike parts. They just want to sell you something even if the parts don't fit.
I went there for some chainring bolts. The first person didn't know what I want and he asked the mechanic. The mechanic had no clue and he asked the service manager. The service asked me what I want and I told him I need...

I bought my cyclocross bike here, was a very pleasant experience. I had a full bike fitting which is worth it,they applied the cost of the bike fitting towards the bike I later bought. Good selection and friendly staff.

The ownership of this shop came to my store years ago. They treated my staff and I so badly, I've never gotten past the shock. Its been bothering me for years. I figured the public should know where all this bad service stems from.
I've actually never had a customer so rude, condescending and demanding in my life. Major egomaniacs who possibly feel good about themselves by being hurtful to...
