I called Cap-It in Richmond to shop around for a headache rack as well as several accessories for my truck. The person on the other end of the phone had a very difficult time understanding what I was looking for, and did not even know what a headache rack was. I gave this person a manufacturers' part number and they were still unable to locate the product to give me a price or availability. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager is unavailable for several hours. The overall experience of just trying to get pricing on a product was a terrible waste of time. Overall this retailer has poor customer service, poorly trained staff and inadequate resources. With many retailers offering truck parts and accessories for competitive pricing, service can determine whether a sale is made or not. In this case, Cap-It in Richmond will never get any of my business. Forget about the reputation that Cap-It has, this store isn't worthy of being part of the franchise. As a follow-up, I contacted management to discuss the poor service and they never returned my calls. So poor customer service and no follow-ups for customer complaints means Cap-It Richmond simply wants to take your money and run.
