Terrible Service
I called Cap-It in Richmond to shop around for a headache rack as well as several accessories for my truck. The person on the other end of the phone had a very difficult time understanding what I was looking for, and did not even know what a headache rack was. I gave this person a manufacturers' part number and they were still unable to locate the product to give me a price or availability. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager is unavailable for several hours. The overall experience of just trying to get pricing on a product was a terrible waste of time. Overall this retailer has poor customer service, poorly trained staff and inadequate resources. With many retailers offering truck parts and accessories for competitive pricing, service can determine whether a sale is made or not. In this case, Cap-It in Richmond will never get any of my business. Forget about the reputation that Cap-It has, this store isn't worthy of being part of the franchise. As a follow-up, I contacted management to discuss the poor service and they never returned my calls. So poor customer service and no follow-ups for customer complaints means Cap-It Richmond simply wants to take your money and run.

Extraordinary service is so rare these days I had to write a review. My wife and I wanted to rent a rooftop ski box but didn't have the necessary cross bars on our SUV. The folks at Capit helped us source a set and then installed them on the vehicle free of charge so we could rent the ski box. Terrible customer service.
Slider window broke after 5 months of having purchased my canopy. (I understand glass is not a warranty issue) however I had cap it install pet screens and was worried that they were putting stress on the windows. As i was driving down a quiet street and the window popped and shattered. Also one pet screen had come loose so I asked them to check to make sure there...

Been here a few times to get stuff for the pick-up truck.
They do installations, but I guess they don't do heavy-duty work. They called us that they couldn't do the suspension thing, since this bolt was rusted on. The good part is, they refunded us 100% (not keeping the labour cost for the time if cost them to find that out).
