a new name means nothing
i don't recall what this hotel used to be called, but with their new name they've dropped in quality big time. the service was very bad, and the rooms weren't even clean. come on, those are the only two things a hotel needs to do right!

I actually had a very different experience when I stayed here than Kreag S. did! I agree with Kreag that the front desk staff were super nice! The building is definitely a bit older but nothing to horrific. My boyfriend and I stayed here for easter in 2012 and the room was very clean. We payed $100 a night for a full apartment complete with separate bedroom. In Canada hotels are pretty pricey... more

“Nice location. We were able to walk to the places we wanted to go. The bed was very comfortable with a down comforter. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes with a fridge, microwave, toaster and coffeemaker. There is indoor parking for which we paid about $20 for two nights.”

“I stayed here for location and because there was nothing else reasonable in Calgary at the time of my stay. It was quite what I expected - a place to sleep and shower. Thankfully I didn't have to spend much time in the room as it would have been quite depressing.”
