History
Established in 2006
From it's small beginnings, Xoxolat has grown to be the largest source of imported chocolate in Canada.
Besides importing perhaps the city's best selection of gourmet, exotic and single origin bars from places as far as Ghana, they also teach Chocolate 101 seminars, give informative tasting and pairing tips, and offer rentals of their sumptuous chocolate fountain. Products range from barks to dipped fruit and bars with fillings that are both yummy and wildly experimental, like pockets of PB&J and... more
The store formerly known as Monde Chocolat (Costco copyrighted their name) still carries a great selection of specialty sweets. Amedei chocolate from Tuscany? Sure. Zotter treats from Austria? Got ’em. Owner Hodie Rondeau’s truffle case includes international flavours—Azteca chipotle, Madagascar vanilla—based on recipes that go back five generations. You’ll meet all your baking needs with their... more

I started shopping at Xoxolat because I was looking for chocolate with bacon in it. Not only did I end up taking a tasting class, I became a regular customer, and have been for at least 4 years. Not only is the chocolate awesome, but also the staff are totally great. I love the variety of chocolate from around the world, as well as the fun chocolate bars and truffles that are created by... more
I came here with my boyfriend for a chocolate tasting class that we bought from Groupon. I have to say it was money well spent. The owner of the shop was the person that conducted the class and she was really friendly, informative, and funny. It was a brief casual chocolate tasting class but I had so much fun and her explanation about the different types of chocolate, where they come from, why... more
This airy boutique specializes in single origin chocolates, and carries sweet treats such as truffles, caramels and imported chocolate bars. The popular chocolate shoes are hard to resist.
Pronounced "sho-sho-la", this friendly and inviting boutique is the city's premier destination for all things chocolate. Inspired by fine European chocolatiers, Xoxolat sources the best chocolate from around the world, including difficult-to-find brands such as Zotter. Their focus is on organic and fair-trade chocolate, and they import one of the largest selections of single-origin chocolate... more
