A group of us went to Wild Orchid last month. Only one of the couples had been there before so it was a new experience for the rest of us. The menu was traditional Portuguese, with dishes like grilled sardines, calamari, fava beans and cod. The service was excellent, the food was very good. I did find the scallop appetizer a bit disappointing. The scallops were small and not cleaned properly, in addition to being overcooked. I was expecting more for $15. However, I was very impressed with my entree, as were our friends. The pitchers of Sangria are a must, by the way! I would definitely go back again.
My favourite restaurant. Come at least every two weeks, everything about it is amazing.
I would rate this 3.5* when I had dinner here on Nov 16/14. It a cool restaurant with a nice environment. For a appy we had Pao De Algarve which was solid. Had the Haddock Fillet Steak & Filetes com arroz as main, both of which was very tasty. All-in-all very tasty & a do over.
Saturday, August 2 I took all my family members again for my 60th birthday lunch celebrations. Once again I was not disappointed with both service and food.
