it is hardly a British pub. The décor does not give you a pub feeling, the ales on tap are over-priced and the food is nothing special. At least they have a decent selection of ales, and for Hamilton Mountain, it is at least not a chain, which makes it a little better than average
My family and I always enjoyed the Whistling Walrus and visited maybe twice a year, until recently. Ordered two all you can eat fish and chips. After about 45 minutes received our order of one small piece of fish each. Ordered another fish each and waited another 30 minutes to get another single fish and chips. Still very hungry, but never got asked if we wanted anymore fish or coffee, tea etc. Our waitress never stopped by... more
