Those in need of a "Vij fix without the wait" head next door to his more "casual", "easier-to-get-into" "little sister" for "delicious" Indian dishes of the "same high quality", "just simpler"; "speedy, friendly" service, "reasonable prices" and "attractive" decor further make it an "absolute favourite"; P.S. it serves lunch and dinner and offers fresh and frozen food "to take home."

This restaurant was TERRIBLE! I had very high expectations and was thoroughly disappointed with both the seating and the actual food. The restaurant was very small and I was only able to sit outside(in the winter). I was sitting in some plastic dome which destroyed the ambiance. The only positive outcome was the staff. Heard awesome things about Vij's and was not disappointed.

First off, I really loved the staff there, our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and was a thrill to chat with.

Mango Lassi - absolutely delicious, thick, tangy, and appropriately sweet

Chicken Liver Samosas - the breaking was a little on the thicker side, but the chicken liver and potato filling was nicely spiced and delicious

Didn't actually eat here, we are out of towners and came to vij's next door, but didn't know that they moved locations. The manager at this place was super nice and I felt like he was a fantastic ambassador for the restaurant, the city, and damn why not the entire country!

He helped us call a cab, he made us feel really welcome and even offered us some warm pita with spices.
