Urbane Cyclist is a bicycle shop in downtown Toronto, Canada specializing in commuting, touring and recumbent bikes.
We opened our doors on Saturday March 30, 1997. Initially, we opened to service people like ourselves -- daily commuters -- the non-lingo, plain-talking individual. 8 years later, Urbane has evolved, grown leaps and bounds, and become one of the most cycle-friendly hubs downtown. Great store. The store supplies are always full and presented in a great selection. Also have a DIY area.
Parts counter is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you want advice and a repair done right come here. As for shopping in the store it is a ghost town. The people at the front of the shop seem more interested is comparing their tats and talking about the bender they had the night before than actually helping you.
