Awful Shave,
I will not be returning to Uomo Modern Barber, nor would I ever recommend it.
Went in for my first ever straight razor shave and came away with 5 o'clock shadow and irritation on many levels. The spa-like experience of the shave prep is amazing; hot towels, lotions, shave cream. The shave itself was pretty cool too. Steve finished it off with a shoulder massage reminiscent of a scene from Mad Men.
"I recommend you don't touch your face for an hour." were Steve's parting words. I now wonder if that was so that I was far far away before I realized how awful the shave actually was. It have 5 o'clock shadow and highly irritated skin.
Great haircuts, nice atmosphere
Get a great haircut while watching soccer and drinking coffee. And the prices are good too.
