Tutti Matti serves traditional, authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared using only fresh seasonal ingredients. like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. From day one, we have served venison, wild boar, fennel pork sausage and we love to produce delectable trays of antipasto, which change seasonally and daily (sometimes even mid‐service!)Discover a... more

Everything is made in house, including our fresh breads and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, papardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the... more

"Hearty pastas", "short ribs to die for" and other "traditional Tuscan" "home cooking" "matched" with a "thoughtfully selected wine list" make this Entertainment District Italian a "real find"; staffers help give the "minimalist" room a "friendly" vibe, and though a few sniff it's "overpriced", most disagree, deeming it a "good value."

Chef/owner Alida Solomon, a native Torontonian, worked in Tuscan restaurant kitchens for years, and the results are worth a visit to her friendly restaurant. You'll find a combination of local ingredients, such as Ontario-made prosciutto and salumi, on the menu, along with traditional bean soups, house-made fresh pastas, good braised meats, and some satisfying desserts. Tutti Matti just might be the best restaurant in the Club District. Located on Adelaide near Charlotte, the small trattoria serves excellent pasta and other Italian fare.

This place I have heard about for years and never went till the other day. Well! Get ready for amazing food all made with attention to detail. The service was perfect and friendly staff. Make sure to save room for the donut. Well priced and you will not be disappointed.

February 21, 2014

Some people have been to Italy and fondly remember the flavours. For others, the closest they have come is watching Under the Tuscan Sun on the W Network. In either case, going to Tutti Matti is a flavour experience that is rare in downtown Toronto. Chef Alida Solomon trained in Tuscany and her succinct menu celebrates Tuscan flavours. Her kitchen is open concept in the middle of the... more

Chef Alida Solomon trained in Tuscany, and the food she serves at Tutti Matti is meant to reflect the ingredients and cooking styles she learned in Italy. As with many of Toronto's best Italian restaurants, the use of good quality ingredients sourced from local producers is a central influence in her kitchen's creations. Delicately deep-fried vegetables star in the fritto misto, while crostini... more
