a father @ son team that continued until 1994 when clayton spencer retired. dan spencer has been running togo tire ever since with some excellant employees to back him up.

Stay far, far away from this place.
I have never been so blown away by such poor customer service, in my life. Jason balanced all 4 of my tires and when I POLITELY returned there to explain that I still had noticeable vibrations at 100km/hr, he instantly got defensive, and said I'd have to pay to get them balanced again that's it that's all. I asked if there was a possibility that he made some sort of mistake, or that maybe the balancer was out a bit, only to get told that it wasn't his fault I drive a piece of (expletive) truck with a lift kit and "impossible to balance" 35 inch tires. I called him on his poor customer service, then I got called a goof and damn near got challenged to a fight. I just laughed and said I wasn't gonna risk legal repercussions and to grow up, oh ya NOW Dan the owner steps in, after almost 5 minutes of escalating argument. I know big tires can be hard to balance, but funny thing is the next shop I went to an hour later got rid of the vibration, and indeed confirmed that the balancing job from Togo was sub-par. Too bad, because Dan, the owner I believe, is a nice guy and they've balanced tires on my other truck perfectly in the past. Based on this I will not be returning and I do not recommend this shop at all. I'm truly sorry Dan, keep your dog on a leash.
Its not our fault its yours!
I would think twice before purchasing tires from this company. Purchased 4 new tires in July and by the end of Aug one tire had blownout and another had a bulge in it. Was told that there was no warranty as the tires were damaged due to road hazzards and they were not liable for them. Spoke to Dan over the phone and he quickly became upset when I questioned if the tires were inspected for any deficiancies before determining damage was caused soley to road hazzards which conviently no warranty applied. Dan's immediate response was to say that tires just don't blow for no reason and whoever was driving needs to take responsiblity for their reckless driving not to blame the tires or his company. After having the two tires replaced we then found out that they would not be covered by warranty and each tire now cost $100 more than we originally paid not even 2 months previous. Needless to say another $600, 3 phone calls later (which all ended in Dan hanging up on me) we still are not confident that these tires will get us through the winter.
Kept me waiting, then refused service
I made an appointment with Togo Tire to mount my winter tires. 30 minutes after the time of the appointment, I was still waiting for a service bay. When I tried to ask an employee how much longer my wait would be, the manager intervened and blew his stack. He shouted, ranted, used obscene language, and ordered me off the premises. Needless to say, my winter tires are still in the trunk of my car. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

I really liked my experience with Togo. I was looking for a new set of tires because my dealership broke it to me that my tires weren't worth even rotating due to their poor state. Plus, I had three different types of tires on my car (don't ask, and don't lecture me).
Naturally, the dealership had, like, three types of tires to choose from, in increasingly disgusting prices, and not even that...

Capable enough. But if you don't enjoy , as a paying customer, being snarled at by heavy tattooed, Iroquois haircut staff then stay away. Bad energy.

I've been buying tires from Dan at Togo for a few years now and I'm sold on doing business here. Originally, I needed a good used tire and found Togo via the yellow pages. It turned out Togo sells new tires too. A few years later, I have now bought 3 sets for 3 different cars. In each case my satisfaction level with Togo and the tires has been far higher than all of my previous replacement tire... more
