The food is nothing special. One very small, cold tart which is supposed to be hot, and 6 small, mushy rolled up sandwiches - each a bit bigger than a toonie. The rest are sweets: 2 scones & 2 small sweets. The chocolate one was wonderful. The tea at the Royal York is far superior in terms of the quality, quantity and diversity of the food. Sadly the Tea Room at the Windsor Arms has lost it magic; so if you remember it from the 1990s and early 2000s, then you'll be disappointed. The sherry was served chilled (very 21st century and anathema to traditionalists), the quiche was cold and vinegary, the scones leaden, and no strawberries and cream. The food was great, variety of selections of quiches, scones, sandwiches and petit fours. Would try all of them again.Service was not as great for a 5 star hotel. The restaurant messed up our bookings and the hostess was extremely unresponsive.
