We had the chicken pot pie and beef pie. My Aussie husband (self-described expert) loved both of them. Not your traditional "Street Pie's" you see after the pub, more like Grandma's Chicken Pot pie after Thanksgiving. Excellent pastry and flavour. Owner was super friendly and a pleasure to chat with!!!
I find most people in this neighborhood to be extremely rude, bigoted, stuck-up and unpleasantly pretentious for no reason.which is why I was so startled by my wonderful experience at the pie shack.the owner is very nice, and he makes f@!%!*g awesome homemade pie. A wonderful little treasure in the Beaches! I recently went there to pick up an apple pie, but alas, it was the long weekend and they had sold out. When the owner, Tim, discovered that I did not need it until the next day, he took my name and told me he would reserve one for me the next day. At one of its three Toronto locations, the Pie Shack in the Beach neighbourhood serves all kinds of pie – from apple cinnamon and blueberry to chicken and beef pot pie. Coffee and tea are also available to wash it down.
