Very Good Massage - Very Nice Place

The Pearl was highly recommended by my wife, who went there for a pregnancy massage.

So, based on her urging I made an appointment as my back was aching.

The Pearl is a small, but beautiful spa. My wife says its the prettiest one in the Pickering and Ajax area.

It's really elegant inside, and definitely had a swanky downtown type of vibe.

At first I didn't think my therapist was that great, because the pressure felt too light.

However, she said that she can't do deep pressure at the beginning of the session.

Sure enough - after she warmed up, she really started applying deep pressure and worked out the knots really good.

After she worked on my back, she gave me a nice relaxation massage. I think I fell asleep.

I really like the Pearl, but I have one critique/suggestion.

I hope in the future that clients are able to use their insurance card directly for payment.

At my physio clinic, I don't have to pay up front. I just swipe my card, and then they bill my insurance company directly.

To me, I think it's a bit of a nuisance to pay first and then submit it, and then wait for reimbursement a couple of weeks later.

Not a big deal though. I look forward to going back. I may even try a couples massage with my wife.
