March 03, 2014The Monk's Table has a fabulous array of imported beers on tap and in bottles and a wide selection of whiskeys. The food was incredible
November 09, 2013We went early evening on a Thursday night. Shared the crab cakes which came with a fantastic remoulade, they had a cube of smoked cheddar inside which was a nice twist. I had the lamb curry and he had the halibut and chips. Very good portion sizes! Not a fine dining size portion but very refined and well put together.... more

Too dark to see but good food at Monk's Table

I visited with a friend on a rainy night. We dined by candlelight in a bustling bar. It truly was too dark to see the food although it tasted marvellous. Lamb chops were great. My friend is a connessieur of Shepherd's Pie and said it was excellent.
Best to have reservations. Then maybe you could dine upstairs where there seemed...
