Ottawa has mainly bad stuff, but also has individual packets of really good stuff. Invisible Cinema is the good stuff. First off, the best thing. They are really, really lenient on late fees. So first of all, the selection gets five stars. It is amazing! Alright, I'll admit...I've only scoped out and rented the really weird s@!t and some porn but I have skimmed through the other sections several times and the good indie films everyone wants to see are there.
It gets four stars though, because $5 a movie for two days is nuts. However, if that's what it takes to keep the business...

Invisible Cinema is the best movie store in Ottawa. Their often unique 6000 titles offer lots of selection for the various types of film aficionado. If you're into mainstream, it's more convenient to go to the nearby Blockbuster, especially because it has better hours and cheaper old releases.
