If you like seafood, this is a great place. We tried calamari, squids, shrimps and a salmon. They were all done to perfection. The staff here is very friendly and their service is quite brisk. The place is often crowded, but the atmosphere is pleasant.

We went out expecting a lot more from an apparently highly recommended restaurant.
Though the service was good, we were very disappointed in the food.
Our potatoes were cold, the sauces were bland, and the fish was tough.
Ended up paying $100 for a gross meal.

First and last experience. For starters, we were sat at a table where we had bright lights coming down on us. I asked if they could lower them, and a few seconds later, was told no. I then asked to change table - not a problem.
For starters, we had the fried calamari. They were descent. For main course, I had the cajun fish. Portion was big, but it was bland and didn't seem cooked...

I have been to the Fish Market a few times whenever I go to Ottawa. This time I had a friend from Poland in which it was his first time in Canada. This place did not disapoint me in the least. Especially Stacey who helped us in providing an excellent and enjoyable meal with excellent service.
I am rarely disappointed with restaurant for I am not a difficult person. But I have to say this is the worst restaurant I ever went to. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food.
