This clubby room in Vancouver’s self-described “entertainment district” is part of the Quattro empire. With its white napkins, valet parking, and soaring ceilings it seems determined to inject some class into the downtown scene and it generally accomplishes the task. The menu is a wise take on the classics (insalata cesare, penne salsicce) that ensures the kitchen never leaves its comfort zone.... more
The food didn’t excite but there are some very nice dishes.
Go for half price appetizers; otherwise way overpriced. The appetizers are brilliant, service is attentive. Meals great if a tad $$
Had a great lunch with the family. Grilled cheese sandwich (homemade chips were fabulous) and ham pizza/flatbread were great. Seafood linguine was delicious. Mom's spaghetti was decent although I didn't quite get the beans. Service was excellent although the place was half empty during lunch. Overall an enjoyable experience and we will be back!
The service was horrible which ultimately falls on the restaurant manager. The waitress took our order and never returned. (later finding out the Manager let her go halfway through our service.) I don't blame the waitress...she explained to us that she was on a trial shift and was emailed that morning to work the night shift. It's "hard to pass up the pasta" at this "warm" candlelit Kitsilano Italian where other "consistently good", "straightforward" plates also make for a "nice treat"; those who find it "expensive for every day" say "online coupons" and "excellent" weeknight specials can help; P.S. there's also a newer Downtown sibling.
