I am from Vancouver so I am accustomed to really good sushi. Since I've moved to Toronto I have not found a sushi place that meets my expectations...that is until I found Sushi Marche in Leslieville/Toronto..Their sushi is super fresh (literally can taste the freshness!). I got it takeout but I found out they also do Sushi Delivery too. The owner told me they offer sushi classes...I might just have to sign up!
Found Sushi Marche in Leslieville / Toronto when a good friend told me about it. The sushi was excellent!! Probably some of the freshest sushi I have ever tasted in Toronto. I've been there twice, once when me and my gf went there to pick up dinner (I had the sashimi dinner and she had maki rolls) the other time we got it delivered to our place. Which we found awesome because not many sushi places offer delivery. We may even go back and take some of their sushi classes they offer
Sushi Marche is leaving some serious money on the table. A restaurant that serves raw fish this fresh, and this good could easily fill a large room seven nights a week; and run up tabs with bottles of Asahi and unfiltered sake. They used to have a table or two back when they first opened, but had gotten rid of those as the years went by. Now there are 3 tables. Their salad dressing... more
Bar none the best sushi in Toronto. We have tried litteraly hundreds of sushi places in the city but we always come back to Sushi Marché. The (take-out and delivery) service is great, the sushi is irreproachably fresh and paired nicely with interesting ingredients. Presentation is aways remarkable. I should mention the amazing ginger salad dressing which we buy full... more
Sushi Marche, created by chef John Lee, is located in the city’s Leslieville neighbourhood. Like the second location found in Leaside, this sushi house is strongly dedicated to takeout. Open for lunch and dinner, Sushi Marche’s moderately priced menu is competitive with other sushi joints across the city. The traditional Japanese fare served here can accommodate a range of groups, and the... more
Since opening in 2007, Sushi Marche has been the go-to place for sushi, sashimi and maki in Toronto's east-end Leslieville neighbourhood. Prices here are higher than you'll find at many other places in the city, but you're paying for quality. The fish is unquestionably fresh, and the presentation, with such items as gooseberries and shiso leaves serving as edible garnishes that accent the... more
