Sad time made easier by great hotel

Needing a hotel at the last minute in order to attend a funeral in North Bay, we picked the Super 8, expecting it to be a "budget" hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by our first impressions of the owner - kind and courteous - and the lobby and room - both clean and decidedly non-budget looking. Very large comfortable rooms. Excellent location on Lakeshore blvd. with close amenities. Lake Nipissing is right across the street. The only thing I didn't like was the a/c heating system as it was noisy and hard to maintain a decent room temperature.
