If you don't live in Stony Plain forget it!

This is a very poorly run golf course. In the last couple of years, anyone but stony plain residents have been made to pay higher fees, only permitted to book tee times no one wants, and treated very poorly by staff. Here's a tip, when booking a tee time say your from stony plain, you will be treated completely different! Try it, I was astounded by the difference in attitude.

No management to speak of, the staff at the source have no idea of what is going on. never got a straight answer on simple questions like when I could book times in advance. I was suprised to hear that the Head superintendent was being paid more than $100K / yr when the course was run so poorly. Then again maybe that is the problem, as there is no money to hire a real manager. Funny that a $1.4 million golf course maintenance compound was just announced by the mayor. This makes absolutely no sense, as it is more than double of what was spent on the clubhouse, but it is inline with the stance of ignoring the customers of the course.

Course was in average condition, restaurant was basically Macdonalds quality. Think of your school cafeteria, and that is what to expect from the restaurant at the course.

We have enjoyed the course in the past, but the changes the Town made to the course operation caters to the voters in the town and ignores everyone else.
