Wrong way to charge customer
I went there three times altogether. 1st time was an excellent experience and so I brought other friends there for the 2nd time, which was good again. However, on my third visit (Aug 31, 2008), service wasn't great. The steak came to me late and therefore getting dry and chewy. Server didn't even ask whether food was ok at all. For this reason, I decided to reflect the quality of service in the tipping. To my surprise, the restaurant charged me an extra $10 on my VISA for I didn't tip enough. Took me two days to contact the GM, Frank. He said he will refund me for that $10 and nothing happened till now. If the service was good, I wouldn't mind that extra $10. Nonetheless, I think it is VERY WRONG to charge the $10 without consent.

Anyone familiar with Korean gogi gui or Japanese yakiniku, has experienced being served a platter of raw meat and given full control to cook at their own table. Stonegrill, takes this in a slightly different direction by replacing the sliced meat with a thick steak, and the table mounted grill with a pre-heated slab of stone.

Always something missing
December 09, 2013I like the whole idea of food served of the hot lava stone and the place is nice and wooden floors nice tables. The missing thing is the service.Couple times I skip desert after waiting long time for the server.

Interesting concept with good food
July 29, 2012Loved the stone grill concept and the steak was very tender. Vegatables could have been more interesting. Good sized portions for desserts. Expensive but generally good food.
