World Poutine Eating Contest

Went to the contest on Saturday Sept 24 and it was great. Free poutine was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

Pulled Pork Poutine is Devine!!!

The original poutine at smoke's isn't super awesome as the gravy could use some kick, but the other poutines are amazing. Try the pulled pork poutine...it's to die for!!! YUM!!!

Fries. Gravy. Cheese Curds. Simple. That's what goes into poutine. Yet considering how passionate people are over this humble Quebecois concoction you'd think there was some thing more; some kinda bona fide Rumplestiltskin-straw-to-gold alchemy going on that makes people raving zealots for the stuffs and admittedly, it's just this kinda zeal I've never really understood. I mean, c'mon people.... more

I got the Bacon, which had generous amounts of fries, savory and slightly sweet maple bacon, soft cheese curds, and as... more

Poutine at this popular place is just alright, not the best not the worst. I don't like how salty their gravy is, I had much better gravy in pub joints where they use beef with the gravy. Much more natural than the super salty gravy smokes use.

Known for their mouth-watering poutine, this amazing restaurant has become one of Canada's favorite. Located across the country, it has one of its outlet in the Entertainment District of Toronto as well. Filled with hungry locals all the time, it serves fresh and hot poutine, which is a classic Quebec delicacy. A whole variety of this humble poutine, which is nothing but french fries loaded... more

With a poutine-only menu, Smoke’s brings the fries-gravy-curds classic to Toronto. The resto uses beef, chicken, veggies, pork and other sauces to make 15 core poutine items and you can create your own. Selections include butter chicken, pulled pork, veggie and double-smoked bacon.
