Excellent food prepared and served by a great staff
October 09, 2012Seafood is fresh and the clams are the best i have ever eaten...the atmosphere is always pleasant.I eat here on a regular basis and plan to do so in the future.With that being said i would highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in or around Blacks Harbour!!!!

Good place for a quick meal near ferry
September 15, 2012A local mainstay, the Silver King is really Black Harbour's only sit-down eatery. Food is well prepared, but nothing out of the ordinary - though specials are a bit more appealing than the on-menu fried and grilled items. Service is friendly, though a bit rough when ferries have just arrived from Grand Manan and there is a brief customer "rush."... more

Visited for the fish and chips - what a let down

Visited due to it's reputation for fish and chips. My cousin who lives an hour away had been told by friends that it was worth the hours drive. Quite simply it was not.
Fish and chips served were dry and overcooked, no moisture left in fish. Batter was bland and insipid, not crunchy at all.
