Sense Appeal Coffee Roasters is the coffee shop I've been waiting to find. Some of the most delicious coffee I've ever had, a groovy bare brick space and an impressive rotating food menu, make this a coffee shop everyone in the city should hit up.Open for only a week and a half, the guys at this shop gave out free coffee for the first week to announce their opening. According to the owners,... more

Note that Sense Appeal was recently rebranded as Café by Carbon. I've been here a handful of times - I enjoyed the cortado but found the espresso macchiato a bit on the sour side, and while the Turkish Latte was okay I was not blown away as some other reviewers were. Everybody is right about the coffee here: Amazing. I like a cup of Piccollo or Maple Sap Canadiano for a little pick me up. My favourite thing about this cafe is the on point playlist. I find myself shazam-ing every other song: Shlohmo, Tokimonsta, Bearcubs, Burial and more. Also, I recommend the counter by the windows for optimal people watching/working/music listening.

They have one of the offer one of the most perfectly pulled, silky smooth espressos I have ever tasted. And the gluten-free espresso brownie can beat the c@!p out... more

Tiny café takes an experimental approach to roasting its direct-sourced coffee beans, always searching for great new flavours. Also offers house-made bagels in the morning, and fresh artisan sandwiches and salads at lunch. Breakfast, lunch daily. Casual. Entrees: $3.50-$9.50. AE, MC, V.

Sense Appeal Coffee Roasters have taken up the job of giving a refreshing start to office-goers and have delivered it with panache. This cozy coffee shop opens at 7:30a on weekdays, and serves refreshing and some tantalizing snacks to match it up. The coffee beans are roasted at the shop itself to give you the perfect blended cuppa. If you are in a rush and cannot spare time to sit down, then... more
