I won't pretend to be an expert of any Asian cuisine. However, I know enough to see that the city is flooded with "Toronto Thai" led by the success of one particular chain with dishes that are syrupy sweet but lack discernable spice. Terrible!! A group of us from work would order lunch from here (only because of they are close and convenient) but today's lunch was absolutely terrible! The curry sauce in the green curry chicken was watered down and lacked flavor! We were charged $1 more for the gluten free cashew chicken meals - and were told that this is because they come with a difference type of sauce. Well... the cashew... more

Came here last week on Thursday to pick up dinner. When I called and ordered 4 different dishes they told me it'd only take 10 minutes which was surprisingly quick.
When I got there around 8:00 pm the place was pretty empty. The latest customers dining in just left and the waitress was cleaning off their table.

Worst thai food I have ever had. I live around the corner from Satay so when I placed the order I was told it would arrive within 25 min. Over an hour later it shows up and the "signature" shrimp dish I received was not at all what was described on the menu. It was supposed to be sauteed shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce of sorts. Instead I got shrimp that was at some point crusted in bread crumbs... more

Serving in three locations in and around the city, Satay on the Road serves an exotic menu of Malaysian and Thai cuisines.
