Upscale dining

I am an UBC employee and frequent the restaurants often for lunch. I found Sage to be a lot more upscale and refreshing than most pub like venues in UBC. I really enjoyed the meal and the notable wine list. The server was especially friendly and informative (sorry I don't remember your name) I would definitely dine there again. Thanks Sue

Small Plates Way too small

Service is extremely slow. This is a Faculty Club. We bring important guests of the university to this restaurant and it is embarrassing the guests have to stand around for a long time until we can be seated. There were only one/two waiters in the restaurant. First impression, poor.
Food. Very tasty. Wait time. Long. The restaurant just gotta speed things up.

Wonderful food

I ate here with two friends and we were all very impressed with the food. All three of the fish/seafood mains we ordered were cooked perfectly (seasonal local halibut, king salmon, and stir-fried prawns), the sides were fragrant (asparagus leak risotto was outstanding) and the banana cream pie was one of the best we've had. Even the smoked paprika compound butter was a nice touch. Not a thing... more
